A half decade after he originally released his debut album Perception Is Everything, DJ K.O. has finally acquired the rights to the masters and has decided to re-release the LP. Sitting down with HardknockTV, eLZhi reveals that Ice Cube was the first rapper to make him want to rap (noting AmerKKKa’s Most Wanted, Kill At Will and Death Certificate are some of his favorite albums), speaks on studying Rakim and Lord Finesse growing up and shares stories of his first experiences at The Hip Hop Shop (Obie Trice hosting, becoming friends with Proof, meeting Eminem, etc). He also reveals that he was the one who originally told Eminem to start working with Royce Da 5’9″.
Last night was day 2 of the SoundClash Music Festival at the Harbourfront in Toronto, and Elzhi was the main act of the night.
