Meka’s Soul Mix Show: Building Mics In Workshop Class

Buddy, buddy, buddy all up in your face.

Meka’s Soul Mix Show: Words From The Abstract

Ugh. I hate Mondays.

Meka’s Soul Mix EP: Naughty By Nature’s “Everthing’s Gonna Be Alright (a/k/a Ghetto Bastard)”

Even though they’re usually not brought up in G.G.O.A.T. conversations, Naughty By Nature is perhaps the most unheralded group ever, finding a way to mix in a hardcore sound that everybody could dance to without it coming off soft as shit and leaving a plethora of classic cuts in their wake. But this autobiographical cut with Treach on the horn is not only my favorite Naughty cut, but perhaps the crew’s shining moment as well. Too bad Juelz Lupe’d this shit up on that Hip Hop Honors show.

Meka’s Soul Mix Show: Lyrically Splittin’ Dismissin’

We come back cause we heard Hip hop needed another anthem.

Meka’s Soul Mix Show: Dilla Wafers

Stink pink gators, my Detroit players.

Meka’s Soul Mix Show: Little Blue Pill

You can call me pull-out master.

Meka’s Show Mix EP: Hova’s Greatest Miss: “Sunshine”

This song could have probably ruined Jay-Z’s career if it had come out today. Instead, it dropped during a time where everybody was quasi’d out, and duke was able to power past this atrocity to become what he is now.

Meka’s Soul Mix Show: Agent 86

Ladies, would you really take this home to your moms? Really?

Meka’s Soul Mix Show: Hova’s Greatest Misses, Vol. 3

Legend of the fall-offs.

Meka’s Soul Mix Show: Lil Homey’s Greatest Misses, Vol. 7

Whatever happened to Amerie, anyways?

Meka’s Soul Mix Show: My Heart Hurts

And to think, I haven’t even listened to the song yet.

Meka’s Soul Mix EP: The OTHER “Paper Trail” Samples

I’m sure everybody is aware of how M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes” has been bludgeoned to death since the release of “S.L.U.,” but for this session of the Mix EP I’m going with the rest of the cuts that got sampled for Clifford’s album.
