Don Dub hands over his “angsty NYC transplant anthem.”
Also known as “the Post Racial American Black History Month Anthem,” according to Don himself. Grab the song here.

DonDub left this following message…
I’ve been wanting to share this for a while but haven’t, for reasons. The beat is from the same batch that spawned “It’s Just Us” (Nitty Scott MC) and “December 27th” (Don Cusack In High Fidelity) and the song has been shuffled around from (shelved) project to (unfinished) project to (pushed back) project. I honestly just got tired of holding on to it and as a result you are the benefactor so click play and enjoy.

Ohio native Don Dub raps over a “bounce” version of Notre Dame’s fight song off of Mick Boogie’s ALL IN: NOTRE DAME mixtape, which you can listen to in its entirety down bottom.

Don Dub just let this track loose via the Twitter.

For the latest edition of the “This Week in Hype” podcast, RefinedHype brings on Donwill (of Tanya Morgan) to discuss Andre 3000′s verse on “Sorry”, Big Boi’s nearly criminal under-appreciation, fucked up child celebrities and more. – Refined Hype
After Don showed me yesterday’s RAoF entry, he joked about making a beat and using it as an actual song. Well…
I don’t remember the exact conversation but somewhere between email or text while me and Meka were laughing at this video I kinda said “challenge the producers that hit up your site to make a beat with this shit and ill judge the submissions. Hell I’ll rap over the winning beat.” And Meka being the champion of fuckery that he is was like “ok”. Which brings us here today.
It’s simple, y’all submit beats made with the sounds on this video, we judge the entries and announce the winner via podcast and I’ll make a rap song out of that one. I’m sure Meka will have a wonderful time sliding it in his set between “Crispy Chicken” by Mary J Blige and any number of the Lil B songs he has on deck.
Who’s in?
PS – if you niggas could see the other conversations me and this guy have… son…. EPIC.
All aspiring fooligans, you can wither leave your concoction in the c-section (don’t worry if it gets “moderated,” I’ll still be able to see them) or hit the Twitters of either myself or Donwill by no later than and next Friday, September 7th. I can’t wait to hear this shit…

In honor of Donwill’s born date…
It’s my birthday and as usual I come bearing gifts. This one is pretty special in my opinion because I never thought that it would see the light of day. Well thanks to D. Randle, FWMJ and of course Kay it finally is ready for your ears. While I won’t say when it was recorded I will say it stood the test of time very well and it sounds even better today than it did all of those times I played it on my iPod and wished you guys could hear it along with me.
Tracklist and link down bottom.

The first (and up until today, only) time I have seen and heard the combination of Donwill and Kay was back in 2008 with this one-shot. Four years later the Fly Guys return with this cut, and they promise that a seven-song EP will drop within the next week or so. About damn time.

Green Street dropped a project, Endless Summer, a few months back, and the general consensus was that it’s a pretty good album. Judging from this video, it’s easy to see why. Cop it below if you’re feeling it.

Donwill, ESSO and Sha link up for track 4 off Loyaly Digital Corp’s The Network compilation; which features artists that attended the SXSW and A3C festivals. Also, LDC teamed up with HipHopDX for a chance to win a pair of Beats By Dre. All you gotta do is download the album here and follow the instructions on the included .pdf. Good Luck.

One week after announcing their new EP (You And What Army, Nov. 22) on The Lessondary’s latest podcast, Donwill and Von Pea hit us with the lead single. Nice!
2011 has been a transitional period, professionally and personally. Keeping that in mind, ‘Whatever That’s Mine’ is inspired by the idea that everyday is another chance to go for yours, no matter what it is that you’re after. We were so damn down before, but now we’re getting up and going for ours. – Von Pea
