As I expressed back in November, these two getting together is some of the dopest sutff I’ve heard in quite sometime. The Cypress Hill member and the Beat Junkie combine forces for a magnetism of live percussion and turntable action. For a better interpretation of what it is, watch the clip above. And just when I clicked publish on the “wrap up” post below, Rhettmatic hit me with the brand new project he mixed and hosted for his Crown Royale counterpart Buff1. Featuring the likes of Kam Moye, Danny Brown, TiRon, Ayomari, 6th Sense, Donny Goines, U-N-I, Fashawn, Diz Girabn, Shawn Jackson, Darien Brockington and more. Not as if this guy needs help on the mic, but it never hurts. The project also features production from DJ Rhettmatic, Black Milk, Ski Beats, Slot-A, Damu, M-Phazes, Cook Classic, 6th Sense and more.

This is honestly my favorite type of posts on 2dbz. Just two dope artists getting together and vibing out. Earlier this month the Cypress Hill member and the Beat Junkie put on a percussionist meets turntablist set; in the same regards to and respect to DJ AM & Travis Barker.

We had the honor of the one and only B-Real of Cypress Hill introduce us….and we had legendary lyricist, Chino XL rock a verse with us.  In the house that night: Sick Jacken of Psycho Realm, Young De of Soul Assassins, Buff1, Eric Coleman (MoChilla), The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Andre & Dennis of Wax Poetics, & Adrian Younge (composer of Black Dynamite) just to name a few.

On an unrelated note, I just got done speaking with Rhett and it looks like the dopehouse readers are gonna be hit with a very dope surprise sometime at the tope of the year. Oh yes!

Fresh off their partnership with MYX Music Label (press release after the jump) Buff1 & DJ Rhettmatic release their first official track. You saw them perform this on HipHopOfficial, now you can put it on the Zune/iPod and blast it at full volume. And if you’re not excited for the release of this album (2010) then I have lost faith in your hearing.
