With today, sadly, marking the third year since Guru’s tragic passing, the good folks at ego trip have unearthed this old VHS (remember those?) footage of the “electronic press kit” for he and DJ Premier’s 1991 album. Dopeness.

With the three year anniversary of the late Guru slowly approaching, Marco Polo teams up with DJ Premier who formed Gang Starr with the late raper on a tribute titled, “G.U.R.U.” The joint services as the lead single from Marco’s upcoming PA2: The Director’s Cutwhich project slated to drop in July. The LP is set to feature Organized Konfusion, Gangrene, Talib Kweli, DJ Premier, Masta Ace, Posdnuos Large Professor, and more. Shouts to Complex Music.

On the eve of the smoker’s holiday, DJ Premier and Raekwon are gonna be rocking down in Denver, Colorado as part of the Incredibowl’s 420 Extravaganja. On top of it being one of (if not thee) first legal 4/20 parties, DJ Premier will be spinning a two-hour “smoke” set and Raekwon will be performing Only Built 4 Cuban Linx in it’s entirety.
