Dvious had been telling me about this for some months now, and they’ve finally dropped off the title track:

Yo, what’s good everybody?..I hope all of you enjoy the first track (intro) off my upcoming EP with DJ DviousMindZ entitled “Nickel & Diming.” Me and DviousMindz linked up straight off 2dopeboyz. Me and my crew, The Antidotes, we were blessed with the opportunity to put out an album nationally in Japan, and I wanna thank DviousMindz for working with me on this “Nickel & Diming” EP. It gives me a great opportunity to put out my music to all you people. I’m based out of Los Angeles and we’ve done shows with the likes of U-N-I and Blu & Exile. Been doing this for a good minute and this EP is about the struggles everybody faces to make it, but even if it’s little by little we doin it. I wanna thank of course DJ DviousMindz, 2dopeboyz, Phenomenon for the cover art, MarkFader for the sick mix down on the whole EP, and everyone else that has supported us or will support us.

Back with the first instrumental mixtape of the new year…

Hey happy new year! I’m back with my 4th instrumental album hope you guys enjoy it. I appreciate all the love you guys have shown me for the past three tapes. Thank you for listening to my music and thank you for the support. Shout out to Nero for the dope ass cover, he’s dropping a tribute to the golden era mixtape entitled “Alive And Vibrant” with mike wax of www.illroots.com, from what I’ve heard its going to be crazy.  Also I’m dropping an EP with Jo well of the Antidotes entitled “Nickel and Dimming” on January 28th, the first single drops next Wednesday, and trust me when I say it’s going to be insane!  Shout out to the big homies at 2DOPEBOYZ, KNOWxONE, MIXTAPETORRENT, MIXFIEND, and many others for giving me an outlet to distribute my music to the masses!

Hey I’m back with my 3rd instrumental mixtape, Beats I Would’ve Gave Nas. IThis time around i tried to go for a more erie/dark type of sound, I think that type of sound suites Nas best. Shout out to NERO for the dope ass cover, well I think its dope. Thanks to all of those who download my tapes and listen to my beats, I’m going to keep putting out monthly tapes as long as you guys are still listening. . Thanks to the MC’s who took the time to rap over my beats. Shout out to all the bloggers and people who post my music all over the net and forums. SPECIAL shout outs to 2 Dope Boyz ( MEKA and SHAKE what up?) for giving an opportunity to share my music around the world. BTW I’m thinking about putting together a dope ass posse’ cut mixtape, so let me know if you up and coming mc’s are interested. I already got a few semi big names down for the project so let’s see how many MC’s I can get on it.

P.S: Shout out to Jowell from the Antidotes. He’s doing an extremely dope EP over my beats that I’ve released, defiantly caught my attention, it’s called ” Nickel and Diming” I included a song he did as a bonus cut on my mixtape, hope y’all enjoy! Shout out to Markfader for the dope mix.

So last month this guy sent me this mixtape of songs he would have produced for Mos Def, and lo and behold it actually kept my attention for longer that 5 seconds. Now he’s dropping off these new tracks he would like to have Chi-Town Guevara rock on. The entire thing drops here next Wednesday, but for now enjoy these snippets.

Last week I dropped a few snippets of this instrumental album DJ DviousmindZ sent me, and now he’s given me the entire thing to spread to the masses. You can download each one individually, or you can get the entire thing, under the cut.

The instrumental album is basically a beat CD for Mos Def that I feel captures his vibe. I’m going to be releasing the whole instrumental album, completely untagged allowing up and coming MCs to use them for whatever they want (demos, freestyles etc). I plan to release a new instrumental album every month, probably the 1st Wedensday of every month, so stay tuned.The only thing I ask in return is that MCs that happen to use my beats is to send them to just so I can hear what y’all have done.

You know over here Shake and I love to show the spotlight on under-the-radar-yet-dope artists. So when this cat hit me with some songs off an upcoming instrumental album called Beats I Would’ve Gave Mos Def I was instantly interested. These joints are actually clean in my opinion.
