While out in Kingston at the Bob Marley Museum, NaS builds with Stephen Marley about life, philosophy, his late father Robert Nesta Marley – and then proceeds to head to Tuff Gong Studios to cut a dubplate for Jah Army with brother Damian. Down bottom, Nas heads to Trenchtown for an intimate look into life in the ghettoes of Jamaica while shooting their video for Land of Promise. Rest In Power Dennis Brown and Bob Marley. Shot and produced by the legendary photographer B+.
In this bonus clip from The Next 48 Hours w/ Nas & Damian Marley, Nas speaks w/ DJ Green Lantern and Rocky Thunda on the GOAT title used in hip hop, and how it’s too early to be placed.
Considering what went down this weekend, Hard Rock Restroom Cocaine Blues seems more appropriate. *shrugs… whatever the case may be, this song is still pretty dope. And thankfully lives up to my personal hype. Doo-Wops & Hooligans hits shelves October 5th. Speaking of Mars’ Las Vegas trip… hit the jump for some great performance footage.
Yesterday seemed to be the unofficial “middle of summer, events bonanza” here in New York, as there were about three events I could think of off the top of my head. Here was one such event, with Nas and Damian performing in Brooklyn. Props to THI.
Nas and Damian made a stop in the appropriately titled Big Smoke as a part of their Distant Relatives tour. Oh look, Jay Electronica makes a “Where’s Waldo” style cameo too. Props to Duncan Master.
In the final installment Nas & Damian Marley hit up The Daily Habit show at FuelTV, Power106 w/ Yesir Ortiz, an Best Buy in-store and The Roxy for the official MySpace release show. Distant Relatives in stores now!
