The good news: BET is wisening up and putting legitimate acts on their network. The bad news: they put them on The Deal, which has taken over the time slot once coveted by BET UnCut. Props to Aqua.

Wale appeared on BET’s Rising Icons and performed a medley of hits. Strange… I thought BET didn’t play anything music-related anymore. Interesting. Props to X.
Football season starts in a few, and as soon as I get a copy of Madden 10 I’ll likely start up another tournament. Perhaps this time I can round up a few heads to provide the winner with something. We’ll see. Anyways, here’s the newest member of the Eagles (who saw that coming?) during his 60 minutes interview last week.
I was talking to my boy yesterday and he said Mos just got done ripping up a Liquid Swords beat on 106 & Park. I didn’t believe it haha. A few reasons… Mos doing a promo run? 106 playing classic GZA? Naaaah, but alas it did go down and here’s the footage. Shouts to Yardie on the television rippage. The Ecstatic in stores this Tuesday!
Mean Ass Marvelous Mo talks retirement with Trevor. Back On My Bullshit, in stores tomorrow. Speaking of Busta, hit the jump for his latest interview with the Boss Lady for DrJays.com.

Posted a snippet last week, now here’s the full interview that Lil Wayne had with Soundcheck. In the conversation he talks about Rebirth, his inspirations (or lack thereof), how he thinks of himself as a genius, the Grammys, his tattoos and more.
In this preview clip of his Soundcheck interview, Wayne talks about his upcoming album.

The goonsquad over at BET chop it up with the Slaughterhouse crew for a nice insightful discussion. Above the crew talks about the 4 Horsemen (Kurupt x Killah Priest x Canibus x Ras Kass), the truth behind the Joe Budden & Royce beef and if they will drop on a major label. Hit the jump for some more clips. Including Crooked I talked about what drew him into the group, taking a loss (lyrically) to each other and having to dumb it down when rhyming with other artists. The diva of the crew is revealed, Royce discusses why egos will play a major part in the rise (or fall) of the group and Joell Ortiz gets upset over a Saigon question.

A little while back a few of my BET goonsquad homies were partying with Mickey Factz & ESSO. Hov’s Say Hello came on and it seems like it inspired them to spit some bars. I’m not mad, at all. Big shouts to ESSO though, while I was out in NYC he showed me a spot that offered 5 shots of anything for $10. That’s like… amazing haha!
