With both Q-Tip and Big Sean offering (what was thought to be) subtle thoughts about a possible Cruel Winter project from the G.O.O.D. Music camp. But during an interview with Vulture, Common dismisses the rumors and reveals every one is indeed working, but on their solo projects.
Does G.O.O.D. Music really have a Cruel Winter album coming? Oh, yeah, nah, nah. I don’t think that’s happening. It was more of a rumor — cats been creating, but everybody’s been doing their solo album. So that’s what that is.
With these guys, it’s always hard to tell. Only thing to do is wait and see…

The Def Jam/Roc Nation singer-songwriter (Usher’s “Climax,” Rick Ross’ “Presidential”) quietly dropped an EP, Bijoux 22, last month and has been garnering praise for his talents. Check out the lyrics video for his current single off the EP.
Common appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night to promote his upcoming film, LUV, and also spoke on music. He’s releasing an EP towards the end of the month which will be followed by a mixtape in April. He’s also in the lab working on a brand new studio album slated for a September release.
Common appeared on Last Call With Carson Daly last night to promote his upcoming film, Luv, arriving in theatres January 18. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper also spoke on childhood as well as charity work.
Roc Nation-signed R&B newcomer Elijah Blake, who we first heard on Rick Ross’ God Forgives, I Don’t standout, links up with Common on a track from his Bijoux 22 EP out today.

During a convo with MTV, Common reveals that he is currently working on his 10th studio album and is looking at a January release.
I am writing a new album. It will be coming out in January, and I’m looking forward to that. My stuff will come at the top of the year maybe some songs out there on the street level, I’m going to work with No I.D. and looking to hopefully work with Kanye [West] and that’s some of the major people I’ll be working with, and whatever other great talents that I feel are going that direction that I want the album to be.
