So someone by the name of Tois de Noise added those sound effects Kanye used in his live performance to the studio version that dropped a few days. Makes the song actually feel less unfinished. Nice touch, also.
I think I can speak for everyone and say that we already had this cemented in our minds. But it’s always great to hear G.O.O.D. things from the artist themselves.
“I’m definitely signed with G.O.O.D. Music. I’m definitely doing my solo project through G.O.O.D. Music,” the Virginia MC confirmed to MTV News’ Sway. “The Clipse is definitely coming with a new Clipse project. We’re definitely coming with the Re-Up Gang project. The family is still here, man. It’s just all about G.O.O.D. Music, straight up.”
I’m really not sure what to make out of that statement though. Hopefully it means Clipse and Re-Up Gang will be coming out of their as well. We’ll see. UPDATE: During an interview with VIBE, Scoop DeVille let it be known that he’s been working with both Pusha and Malice and that he believes they have a Clipse record coming through G.O.O.D. as well.
I’m gonna go ahead and guess that because Neighborhood Push signed over to G.O.O.D. Music, their proposed “G.O.O.D. Music Day” got thrown out of whack, causing CuDi to push his album release to a later date. Or something.
“Got It For Leaks: The Audio-Biography” is here! For those that don’t know, we do these projects called “audio-biographies” with artists which is basically a look behind the scenes of what went on making certain records. With this project, we sat down with the Clipse and they gave the history on some of their biggest records. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Thanks for taking the time to download! Shout to Steven Victor and Lulu! -@djsourmilk
Malice says that Pusha’s solo debut will actually come before the next Clipse album…
Now, the older member of the duo, Malice, said he can’t really speak on any deals with Kanye, but he did say that another group album is on hold until baby bro gets his solo project off.
“The next Clipse [album], we’re gonna let Push do his thing right now,” Malice said. “I’mma be there to support him. Of course, you’re gonna get verses from me. I can’t say right now, but it’s coming.” – MTV
So either they’ve basically all but signed to Kanye’s label, or they’re pulling the same stunt Twista did when everybody thought he was going to Roc-A-Fella.
The Neptunes + Kanye West + Clipse = Instant Vintage Album. If that were to actually happen, of course.
“I think that’s gonna be amazing,” Pharrell said. “[Pusha] had been working with ‘Ye. I told him, ‘You should do that.’ We made a lot of great records together, and we’ll continue to make great records. I want him to grow and get other experiences out in the world. He’s gotta figure that out. He’s gotta go out there and see it. Make no mistake, lyrically, that kid is one of the greats — him and his brother. Lyrically, those guys are really serious. They’re well-respected by all of the good dudes. Jay-Z loves them, T.I., Jeezy loves them. All of your favorite rappers, they appreciate a Pusha line or a Malice line. They do. I’m saying with respect for all those artists — I work with those artists. I know the conversations we had. They like what they do. It’s been a long time coming for Pusha and what it is he’s trying to do. He’s gonna get it. And Malice too.” – MTV

Continuing theirtalk with the L.A. Leakers, Pusha expresses his hate for When the Last Time. Got It For Leaks: The Audio-Biography” drops next Tuesday!
Honestly I expected more from this. Don’t get me wrong, they all do their thing, but something is missing from this to me. Plus, Ghostface & Raekwon’s “Kilo” > this, and they use the same sample. Oh well. RR.
