In recent months, I have collaborated with a lot your favorite artists (Shawn Chrystopher, ADD-2, Charles Hamilton, XV, Nero, Show Tufli, ESSO, QuEST, El Prez, Frank Ramz, S-Preme + More…). I have compiled songs from different projects and leaks into one body of work, also threw in an unreleased song I did with Charles Hamilton called “Reset”. Enjoy these songs over the weekend, I will be releasing the instrumentals early next week (along with a few bonus instrumentals).
Apparently, this will be the final thing Charles drops this month, before his Jim Jonsin-produced single hits the cyber-airwaves next Tuesday (May 3rd).
… which is set to be Charles’ first single off his upcoming album, from his new “situation,” and is set to drop a week from Tuesday (May 3rd?). Let’s see if he can finally get this shit off the ground finally, as response for his recent outings have been largely positive.
Fresh off sharing the stage with B.o.B tonight at SOBs in NYC, Mr. Hamilton decided to let loose of the third installment of new joints he’s releasing leading up to his official single.
The song “Choices” – A Wave For Alex, serves as a reminder of how precious and short our existence is and how our fate can be altered by the choices we make. I swear I could feel Alex as I wrote this song, guiding me through his last moments as if they were my own. Alex paid dearly for the choice of getting in a car with a drunk driver at the wheel. Without the intervention of some very supportive people, I was on a path to a similar destiny. It is hard to think about my own bad choices and substance abuse days and this reminds me of how grateful I am to be surrounded by people, including your family, who cared enough to get me back on track. Although I never had the opportunity to meet your brother, your family has become part of my extended family and this tragedy has had a profound affect on me. My heartfelt prayers go out to you.
This song is dedicated to Alex. I can only hope that this serves as a reminder that we should all make wise choices. Listen carefully to the lyrics of this song. Peace.
