We asked Casual (of Hieroglyphics fame) his process for making a song, here’s his unedited answer. I wish we could have fit the whole thing into the episode, as I think it’s a pretty solid answer, but it was just too long. But hey, I guess that’s what bonus footage was invented for! For too long gamers have been bludgeoned by grating, repetitive game soundtracks. Capcom has answered their prayers and exceeded expectations by assembling the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Hip Hop Mixtape. The lead video from the Mixtape- “Battle Drum”- is provided by legendary Oakland hip-hop collective Hieroglyphics.

I used to be all kinds of brolic in this game back during my junior college days. Then I made someone cry (literally), and I haven’t touched it since. Hit the cut for some behind-the-scenes footage.
