Three-fourth’s of the HRSMN (Kurupt was likely “prepping” for Snoop’s set) joined together on stage during the West Coast leg of Rock The Bells this past weekend, and mentioned that a new track will arrive in the next couple of weeks. Will my previous cynicism be moded?
Recorded in ’08, Premo decided to emancipate it today. Props to that legendary man. While on the subject of Canibus, is it agreeable that if he went at LL during the recording of the embedded song below, there would be no Canibus? Grandfather paradox?
At long last, the reunited crew of Ras, Kurupt, Canibus and Killah Priest drop another cut. Ras Kass and DJ Rhettmatic’s album ADIDAS has been released this morning at their BandCamp page , and until midnight July 22nd, you can get for 30% off by using the code hrsmn at checkout. Check out the album’s tracklisting down bottom.
Ever since I watched the behind-the-scenes footage I’ve been patiently waiting for this collaboration from three two of hip hop’s most talented emcees. Shouts to the homie Surock on the beat!
As promised, here is Elite’s new mixtape. A collection of instrumentals that he’s produced (Jadakiss, Styles P, J. Cole, Joe Budden, DMX, PackFM, etc) over the years. The project also features some pretty fresh bonus tracks. Including an unreleased J. Cole record (that didn’t make the final cut on The Warm Up) as well as the original version of Jadakiss and Styles P’s Shootouts. Read Elite’s own thoughts on the project here.
Before a performance in Miami, Gamertag Radio catches up with Ras Kass to speak on Canibus’ recent diss track towards Eminem. 100% truth is spoken imo.
New leak off Canibus’ upcoming project Melatonin Magik. Whether it drops before or after he gets raped by Em, Royce, etc is the real question though. And no, I’m not “hating” as so many of you love to say. The song is pretty good… I’m just stating the inevitable.
Well this came out of nowhere. I’ve got a few questions (as I’m sure some/most of you do as well)…
What made Canibus come with another diss track… now?
What the fuck is a DZK?
And who honestly cares what dude has to say?
What’s with the random D12 verses being added?
Do you think Em is likely to respond?

Surock just shot over a promo video that previews an instrumental for a joint called Suicypher off Chino’s upcoming album RICANstruction. As the post title suggest, the track will also feature Canibus & Copywrite. Based off the beat alone, who do ya’ll think is gonna rip it up the most? My money’s on Chino…
The Burn Out Brothers link up with Tech N9ne (who definitely steals the show) for the last track I’ll be posting off their new Undergods EP, which is available now.

On top of the interview above, I’ve included another joint off Canibus & Keith Murray’s The Undergods EP, which is available now!
In Part 3 (John Public x The Underdogs) of our conversation, the emcees talked about writing their album and what they hope to achieve with it’s release, along with collaborations and unity in hip hop today among the super-groups. Canibus also talks about the experience of the Shades of Hip Hop Roundtable with DMX, Mos Def, Big Pun and a few other notable emcees.
