Yesterday, Lupe performed at the University of San Fransisco. And you already know LupEND would get their hands on some footage ha. Above he goes in over Brooklyn Go Hard! Ok… I’m lying, he does Go Go Gadget Flow and Dumb It Down though. And after the jump, he recites his Everyone Nose (rmx)verse.
I’m figuring green-screening yourself into a music video, doing a massive posse cut and pretending you’re a rock star is gonna be the new things du juor of 2009. Fun. Check out the other video under the cut.
Before I hit the sheets (far later than I wanted to), here are some new live joints from Mos Def! Tonight (January 9th) Mos performed at the Highline Ballroom and played a slew of joints off his upcoming release, The Ecstatic. The opening of the set he debuted his remix to Brooklyn Go Hard as well as an album cut entitled Casa Forte. Thanks to allthewaylive we have some mp3s of the performance. UPDATE: Hit the jump for video of Mos performing Casa Forte in Seattle.
Face it: if somebody on the Interwebs didn’t do it first, Sean would have done this then have the gall to call it an “unreleased” track, like people don’t know a “Young G’s” verse when they hear one.
Very dope video by Evan Roth of Graffite Search Labs for Hov’s latest cut off the Notorious soundtrack.
Last week I was contacted to make a video for a new Kanye West produced Jay-Z song for RED & the Global Fund to Fight AIDS in Africa. It launched today (WorldAIDS Day) at red.msn.com. And while I’m happy to be able to help the cause I’m also more than a little bit excited about getting a chance to make something for the likes of Jay-Z and Kanye. I’ve been turning down client requests to use Typographic Illustration for 5 years in hopes that one day the phone would ring and it would be Hova. – Roth
