While we’ll forever wait for another Blu and Exile collaboration, Ex brought his talents over to Bilal to remix his Airtight’s Revenge single. Spotted over at VTech.
With Election Day 2010 finally arriving, Bilal teams up with French director Mikael Colombu. Taking you on a multi-media journey through the world of politics through Bilal’s eyes.
To Bilal, people are becoming more like robots through the use of manipulative propaganda by corporate media . This video is his way of opening everyone’s eyes to the truth. As you watch “Robots” you’ll soon find yourself paying very close attention to what is really going on.
Also, OutDaBoxTV just put up a feature on Bilal. Which can be seen after the jump.
Bilal’s Airtight’s Revenge, his first album in four years, finally drops today. My guess is that it’ll be just as dope as Maxwell’s album, which took eight years to drop. The moral of the story: sometimes it’s best to work slowly on your craft instead of hastily rushing out stuff.
Bilal sits down with Maurice Garland to speak about his new project, which you can hear some of in the background while he’s talking. Airtight’s Revenge is set to finally drop next month.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve shared videos from Q-Tip, Phonte, and Janelle Monae all singing their praises on Bilal and his highly anticipated new album, Airtight’s Revenge dropping September 14th via Los Angeles based independent label, Plug Research. This time around, we have ?uestlove of The Roots crew and self proclaimed “favorite Twitterer’s favorite music snob” talks about Bilal calling him the “greatest specimen of voice in post-modern hip hop culture…”
Like I’ve said before, all we need is for D’Angelo to come out of hiding and the cypher will be complete.Anyways, while at the UCLA Jazz Reggae Festival in Los Angeles, Kamaal and Tigallo spoke on their history and respect for Bilal’s music, as well as his upcoming album, Airtight’s Revenge dropping September 14th via Plug Research. As a bonus, the cover art and tracklisting can be found down bottom.
Yes! Bilal is readying the release of his first studio album in 9 years… Airtight’s Revenge (September 14th). And while we wait for a single, here goes a joint that will not be featured on the album.
Where the hell has Bilal been? “Soul Sista” and “Fast Life” were a long ago…
Bilal recently sat down with Centric TV in New York’s Time Square to discuss his upcoming album, Airtight’s Revenge coming late summer/early fall on Plug Research. Bilal talks about the meaning behind the album title, labeling “Freedom” as one word to describe his album, working with an independent label like Plug Research as opposed to Interscope, his enjoyment of Martial Arts, and his love of people watching.
