I’ll be completely honest when I say I’m definitely not a fan of these types of projects. I always feel the classic material from our fallen legends should be left how it was. There’s a reason they are called classic records, etc. With that said, I’m hoping for the best and will be listening this Monday.

I also said that we would be posting the official video for the song on the 14th. I lied… as we’re 5 days early. Complains? Didn’t think so… 2dbz premiere so pay attention people.

If you listen to hip hop you better have heard this song (atleast 10 times) in your life. So no… it’s far from new as it was first heard on Pun’s Capital Punishment album. The reason it’s getting a post is to let ya’ll know this is the first official single from the upcoming project, The Legacy: The Best of Big Pun (Music From the Film), which will be available everywhere September 15th. The same day the film is released. And for the first time Super Lyrical will be pushed as a single and will feature an official video (which you can catch at the dopehouse on the 14th of September. Now, this is actually very disheartening to witness this deplorable back-and-forth that’s been going on between these two for years. Pun’s widow – the same who did a documentary on how such a violent, pistol-whipping wife beater he was a while back – is now saying that her and his children are living in a shelter and are blaming Fat Joe for it. Fat Joe on the other hand is claiming that he’s not making money off Pun (just his rhymebook. Ha!) and that Pun’s widow is essentially lying. I don’t know who’s telling the truth, and frankly I don’t care. This is just a pretty sad display put on by both parties, and in the end the real loser is Pun’s legacy and, more importantly, his children. This is so awful it doesn’t even warrant a RAoF tag, and that’s sad.
