When he’s not doing his solo thing or rocking out with The Tribe, Big Cats! is linking up with National Poetry Slam champion Guante. The two will join forces on November 6th with You Better Weaponize and you can check the first single‘s video up top. MPLS, I see you.

The project came to fruition last year after Big Cats! received a grant from the American Composers Forum and the McKnight Foundation to make an instrumental Hip Hop/RnB album to honor his mother, who died from ovarian cancer in 2010. Wirth-Davis recounts the process from start to finish here. 75% of the proceeds from this record are being donated to the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance, in honor of Christi Wirth-Davis.
