Still on a hunt for Outkast’s debut southernplayalisticadillacmuzik on vinyl, I find myself throwing the CD in the home theater and vibing out more and more. It’s quite obvious that ‘kast is my favorite group of all time (as if the name of the site wasn’t a big enough give away) and anytime I start to feel “down” I light something up, press play on track-14 and zone out. There’s only so much time left in this crazy world…
While Big Boi and Andre 3000 are coming up on the 20th Anniversary of their Outkast debut Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, Sir Lucious Left Foot sits down with Big Boy on Power106 to reveal he and 3 Stacks have been “discussing some things” as far as what they plan on doing. Nothing is set in stone, but the smile that hits Big Boi’s face at the 2:05 mark has the inner-Outkast stan in me trippin’ in excitement. Living in Vegas and never really able to check shows before I started doing this HipHopDX/2DopeBoyz thing, I never had a chance to check them live. Something that has always haunted me as a true fan. And while new music would obviously be amazing (if both of them WANT to do it), a reunion show would be something I’d pay top dollar to see. A dopeboy can hope!
