Barack Hussein Obama II. Thoughts? Opinions? Bueller?

With under two weeks before the Presidential Election left, Barack Obama sat down with Sway for an exclusive interview with MTV. During the 30-minute sit down Sway asked questions about jobs, social issues, the cost of college, global warming, LGBTQ rights and of course, music.

The moment above was caught at a fundraiser for Obama, Jay-Z and Beyonce held at the 40/40 club in NYC. With attendees paying  $40k entry, the function raised a total of $4 Million. Black excellence.

I’m not even sure what that question means, exactly, so I’ll let the Jump-Off producers tell it:

The leader of the United States joined Jimmy Fallon and The Roots on their late-night show to speak on student loans and making college cheaper… in their own unique way, of course.

President Barack Obama transformed The East Room of the White House into an intimate blues club Tuesday night for a concert featuring Mick Jagger and blues all-stars where El Presidente belted out the blues anthem of his hometown “Sweet Home Chicago.” Awesome.

By now, some of y’all might have noticed President Obama’s playlist on Spotify. A varied mix of Al Green, U2, Florence + The Machine, Raphael Saadiq and more. And now to help commemorate President’s Day, Mick and Terry do what they do best and give the list some life.

For those that may have missed Barack’s (possibly final) State Of The Union Address last night, you can now view the entire thing as an “enhanced” version. Looks like I know what will be playing in my background for the next hour or so.

Last night At his reelection fundraiser at the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, President Obama did a quick, impromptu rendition of Al Green’s instant vintage “Let’s Stay Together.” Not bad, actually. It’s a lot better than my “sounds like I’m going through puberty” vocals when I sing in the shower.

Obama got mad jokes! Ha!

Last night, B.o.B helped Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee kick off their inaugural Gen44 Summit (a three-day event set to prep the newest generation of rising leaders within the party). MTV caught up with Bobby Ray for his reaction on his invite.

The DNC approached us about doing this about a month ago, and at the time, I didn’t really want to believe it. I was like, ‘Really?’

It really shows me the times that we are in. Knowing that just where I came from, being able to make music, and really voice my opinion, and be really frank and direct with my approach to music, and for the youth to receive that so well, it really shows that we’re in an era of great thinkers and people who can interrupt the reality that they are in. And [to] really understand that, and be proactive, and spur creativity and do something different.
