Another OkayRoots production with The Apple Juice Kid. This time he brings along his band The Remix Project for their brand new album Mixtape. They did live instrumental interpretations of your favorite hip hop tracks along with some of their favorites. The artwork was done by Dallas’ own Objektiv One so be looking out for much more from this dope designer as he is now illRoots Familia. Some brand new Freebass 808 (Apple Juice Kid x Suede) is on the way as their first single Rewind featuring Jovi Rockwell of Major Lazer will be dropping soon.
Continuing his attempt to break music barriers on his new album (as said in his BET interview after the jump) Wale takes another left turn on the latest Apple Juice Kid produced leak. Rough version so expect a different mix on the Attention Deficit. In the interview, he also speaks on the Gucci Mane feature. Shouts to elitaste.

On a trip with Mick Boogie to NC, 6th calls Apple Juice Kid to bring him to the studio. They never really met before, so they just decided to get to work in the lab. They made 3 beats, and were able to get footage of this one.
Camp Lo, in association with the NMC and Loud.com, are launching their brand new EP today. Check out the songs, one each from the NMC, and read the clues to find the meaning. The first person to unscramble the words and hit us back with the six-word meaning of “Lumdi” at camploNMC@gmail.com wins autographed copies of Uptown Saturday Night and Let’s Do It Again, as well as the jackets Suede and Cheeba wore during the Lumdi video. Good luck and enjoy the music!

Sonny Cheeba and The Apple Juice Kid, who, along with Ski Beats is helming most of Camp Lo’s new album, A Piece of The Action, chopped it up with us backstage at the AHH.com 10th Anniversary event/panel/gala. Juice talks here about his eight Scratch Beat Battle victories, working with 9th Wonder, how he linked up with Camp Lo, the benefits of organizations like Dynamic Producer and iStandard, hustling music and in general talking that producer slanguage.
I spotted this over at OKP, and it’d be wrong for me if I didn’t post it up over here. The Apple Juice Kid – who’s said to be producing a chunk of Camp Lo’s new album – brought together a bunch of artists to create this collection of upgrades as a tribute to Miles Davis. Tracklist and link under the cut.
