In celebration of the Vinyl release to their Daily Bread album (which includes a free bonus 45 that includes two remixes), Apollo Brown and Hassaan Mackey decided to let loose another joint off the LP.
The original is already beastly, but Apollo decides to make it even more paranoid-sounding. No complaints here though. Props to HHDX on the premiere. Support by copping on wax (pre-order), iTunes or on CD.
If this burner ain’t enough to convince you how ill Apollo Brown is, then I don’t know what to tell ya. Apollo’s raw, gritty drums and an ill sample with Hassaan Mackey handling the MC duties, a/k/a Daily Bread. This will be featured on the full-length LP, Daily Bread out August 19 (physically), via Mello Music Group.
To help promote the upcoming project by Apollo Brown (The Daily Bread out July 28th), triple O.G. House Shoes put together this mixtape that features old, new and rare Hassaan Mackey and Apollo Brown tracks. Features include: The Left, Elzhi, Kenn Starr, Black Milk, Diamond District and Danny Brown.

Off the Los Angeles emcee’s upcoming project, Wouldn’t Change Nothing, dropping July 12th. A remix album to his critically acclaimed release Everything Changed Nothing that will feature production from the likes of Oddisee, Apollo Brown and more.
Instrumental projects, lately, have gotten more looks from me than other genres. This particular cut, coutresy of Apollo Brown, is off his album Clouds, which is available now on iTunes, on vinyl or at Fat Beats.
(2)Dope premier! Shout out to Quality Control and Unique Squared.
Quality Control and UniqueSquared.com present ‘All Alone’ featuring Ro Spit and produced by Apollo Brown, exclusively available on 2DopeBoyz.com on May 18th. The mixtape, ‘The Official SXSW Mixtape’, was a culmination of 3 straight days of non-stop beat listening, rhyme writing, and recording by a who’s who of several of the most notable emcees that were in Austin this past March for the 25th anniversary of SXSW. It all took place on board the Unique Squared Mobile Studio; a state of the art recording studio contained within a massive 45’ tour bus.
This track, ‘All Alone’ is by Detroit’s own beatsmith Apollo Brown, and mic master Ro Spit. The song is a head nodder of a track with cuts and scratches provided by none other than Scribble Jam DJ Battle 3-peat champion, DJ Presyce and mixed by the Mobile Studio’s Chief Engineer, Fokis (Fokeezy).
Future Joyner just released his FreEP titled Listen To Me which features the likes of The Audible Doctor, Apollo Brown, Frank Dukes and Cyrus the Great on the boards. Tracklisting and download link after the jump.
Originally titled as “Tao Te Ching” from Apollo Brown’s recently released instrumental album, “Clouds,” Oddisee jumps on the track delivering a remix vocal version now entitled “The Times.” “The Times” is exactly what Oddisee is speaking about in the song. Half-Sudanese himself (on his father’s side), Oddisee discusses “The Times” with an emphasis on Southern Sudan’s recent vote to split and form a new nation. This is personal for him, and accompanied by Apollo Brown’s fitting instrumental, and Oddisee’s point of view, “The Times” is something that is truly special.
Apollo decided to get his iMovie on for his new album “Clouds.” Pretty slick for his first time out on the camcorder! Directed by Apollo Brown. Produced by Apollo Brown.
