After both Nas and Shyne expressing their hatred displeasure of Def Jam’s working, Big Sean sat down with Angela Yee on her Lip Service show to speak on his own experience with L.A. Reid and the label.
“Well, my experiences with L.A. Reid, I’ve had tons of meeting with him recently, and even in my meetings he said ‘Man I’m a guy that’s into hits man, pop,’ you know he says that. He’s straight up, I’m into hits I’m into that money. I’m into these f*cking hit songs so no, I don’t think L.A. Reid understands hip-hop in the same way that Nas understands it or Shyne or whoever or Kanye. He understands that muthaf*ckin money, he understands what a hit is, so you gotta respect him on that. He’s responsible for a lot of big acts. But honestly Def Jam does make a lot of mistakes and I’m signed to Def Jam and I appreciate everything they’ve done for me. I’m happy to be on Def Jam.”

We need some visuals of part 2 pronto. Sinnamon and Rosa showing off their chest and feeling up on each other? Ok! Back to the music though… what do we have to do to get Joey, Tip and Sha on a track!?
After my snowboarding trip, I headed directly to see Joe Budden perform at S.O.B.’s and of course I had to harass him and Jay Electronica after the performance. I try to trick them into giving up information about their pending record deals, girlfriends, etc while they squirm their way out of every question. I sense a collaboration coming soon, right after the “Exhibit C” remix perhaps. Warning: Don’t take this too seriously…
Incase you don’t read blockquotes, be sure to read Angela Yee‘s last sentence.
Everybody’s favorite round-the-way-girl sits down with Dutch & Co. to allow the world to fawn over her.
Back in 2007 Drake called into Shade45 to talk with Angela Yee about Degrassi, Comeback Season, etc. They play Replacement Girl and City is Mine before having folks call up and question/comment. Shouts to RR on the liberation. It’s always dope to hear artists before they blow up. Dude sounds hella balanced in this.
Still waiting on that Fugee reunion? So is Pras Don’t hold your breath:
“The Fugees getting back together, the magic of it would have been the trust factor. They gotta be willing to put their career in my hands and I’ve got them. Which means like if I’m like do this in the studio you used to do it before, so why you don’t wanna do it now? So to me they’re great and they’re gonna always be great but the Fugees, it’s better that it leaves the myth vibe. Like the score is a myth when you hear it it’s a myth. It was done in the basement. Like you don’t wanna go from there to do a sequel and you’ve destroyed your complete myth.” – Team Yee
