lyrically I cosign Joe Budden…..he’s just a fuckin faggot
Sai sits down with Ms. Drama to talk about Warning Shots 2 (and The Greatest Story Never Told), his deal with Amalgam Digital, how he feels bad about Joe Budden (but still semi co-signing Slaughterhouse) and warns him to keep his girl out the strip club. Part 2 will feature Saigon’s thoughts on Tru Life, Jay Electronica, Drake vs J. Cole, and Jay-Z. And speaking of Joey… hit the jump for a little a capella rhyme he did at Slaughterhouse’s first headlining show at Toad’s Place.
Here goes the artwork for Sai’s upcoming mixtape street album, Warning Shots 2, which drops September 29th on Amalgam Digital. Hit the jump for the full cover as well as the guest list and production credits.
Following the success of “Halfway House” and the much-anticipated “Padded Room,” Joe Budden and Amalgam Digital are excited to announce the release of “Escape Route”. The digital-only album will be made available exclusively on AmalgamDigital.com August 11th, 2009. “Escape Route” marks the third installment in Budden’s inspired saga sequence that has already brought fans such releases as “Halfway House” and “Padded Room,” and will culminate with the groundbreaking “The Great Escape.”
Escape Route aims to set a new precedent for Budden as he begins to map out his escape by enlisting guest appearances from Wale, Slaughterhouse, and Young Chris as well as production from 9th Wonder, Streetrunner, Chad West, and J. Cardim. When asked about his latest endeavor Budden had the following to say:
“Escape Route is a precursor to what may very well be the best Joe Budden album ever… The Great Escape. It’s filled with the lyricism and passion that Joe Budden fans have come to love me for….‘THE GREAT ESCAPE’ coming soon!”
Following “Escape Route” Joe Budden will return to the Amalgam Digital label roster to release the final and most compelling installment of the series entitled “The Great Escape” another groundbreaking album that will signify his ultimate salvation and departure from the traditional norms of mediocrity that continue to confine the creativity of many artists today. With the momentum garnering around his supergroup Slaughterhouse’s performances on tour at the Paid Dues and Rock the Bells hip hop festivals, Budden’s latest album is sure to reinforce his commitment to his craft while also justifying his sustained success throughout the past several years.
As everyone knows by now, Saigon inked a deal with Amalgam Digital. Who will be helping him release All in a Day’s Work (with Statik Selektah) which drops next week (hit the plantation for the tracklist); followed by Warning Shots 2. I’ve gotta say, for a digital label they sure aren’t too nifty with digital video. First the botched stream, and now a poorly lit and edited YouTube video? Naaahh….
This past weekend, it was announced that Saigon inked a deal with Joe Budden’s current label. The news sort of got pushed to the side as the Joe Budden x Boston shit was the hot topic of the weekend. Anyways, Sai released a statement talking about his deal and what it actually pertains to. Hit the jump…
So I’m lounging around the house, watching movies and relaxing. Gotta love that 2:30pm is the first time I hit the computer. Dope! First email I check is titled EDO.G bans JOE BUDDEN In Boston // SAIGON Signs With AMALGAM DIGITAL ??!? Interesting. Apparently Joe Budden disrespected Boston during a performance last Thursday. Peep the email blurb…
This past Thursday’s Joe Budden show in Boston almost ended with Joe Budden getting stomped by an angry mob of Boston goons. Edo. G, the show promoter, had to intervene to protect Budden from getting killed. JaySaun (of Special Teamz) is reportedly already hitting the lab to record a diss track to Budden – and everyone agrees – BUDDEN IS BANNED IN BOSTON! Edo. G Demands An Apology!
Now I wasn’t there, so who the fluck knows what really went down or how it went down. I really don’t know what to say. And that’s not even the end of the discussion topics. You saw Saigon’s name in the title. According to DJ Next, the Creative Director of Amalgam Digital, announced that they have signed Saigon. And they will be releasing 2 projects with him, including the All In A Day’s Work with Statik Selektah (which drops next week) and Warning Shots 2. What the flying fuck!? Big shouts to JumpTheTurnStyle for the exclusive audio. Now it’s up to ya’ll. What do the dopeboyz/girlz think about each situation?

Featuring Joe Budden (with a gun), Rik Cordero, Miss Info, Tahiry and more. Padded Room drops next Tuesday (February 24th) on Amalgam Digital. And hit the jump for some (Tahiry’s) behind the scenes of Joey’s In My Sleep video.
I heard talks of Joey’s Padded Room leaking in it’s entirety but I haven’t checked anywhere. Regardless, ya’ll better support and purchase that shit on February 24th! Here goes a (very dope) leak produced by The Klasix (which happens to be Meka’s favorite song off the album as well). The Rik Cordero directed video is soon to follow. Shouts to AmalgamDigital!
So Amalgam Digital redeems themselves (sort of) from the epic fail of a live stream when Joe Budden, Royce Da 5’9″, Crooked I & Joell Ortiz did their thing at SOBs this past week; as they put up a good quality video of the entire performance.
I promised ya’ll we’d be streaming the Slaughterhouse show that’s going down at SOBs tonight right? And I like keeping my word. The show was supposed to start at 8pm EST and I’m heading to the gym right now so I wanted to make sure the player was up before I left. Hopefully someone will record this shit for me! My absence also means I won’t be able to check if anything goes wrong with the player. So in any case of fuckery… hit up Amalgam Digital. UPDATE: Well I’m back from my workout and still no show. Ha… gotta love hip hop! I added a chatroom after the jump so feel free to shoot the shit their until they get started either my PC sucks (which there is a huge chance of) or Amalgam took a huge L on this streaming shit. Cause it’s not working for me and people are saying the show is happening right now. Did anyone get it to work? Anyone? Bueller? Damn… well sorry about that ya’ll. Hopefully someone comes through with footage of the whole show. Fuck everyone who is there right now haha. Especially you Low!!
In the same fashion they did with one of Joey’s last Padded Room recording sessionsl Amalgam Digital is giving everyone outside of the NYC area a chance to watch Joe Budden, Royce Da 5’9″, Crooked I & Joell Ortiz rip down the stage this Thursday. This comes as a great surprise as I won’t be out that way until Super Bowl Sunday. Yessir!
