Coming off a weekend that was completely owned by Kanye West (debuting “New Slaves” across the world, announcing his Yeezus album title and confirming the June 18 release date, premiering “Black Skinhead” on Saturday Night Live and revealing the album’s artwork), we also saw some great material from many others. A$AP Ferg dropped both the audio and video to his “Work (rmx)” featuring A$AP Rocky, ScHoolboy Q, French Montana and Trinidad Jame$; Kendrick Lamar dropped his “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” video; we premiered Cookin’ Soul’s remaking of Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y’s Live In Concert EP; The Weeknd, Mayer Hawthorne and Nipsey Hu$$le return to music; Gucci Mane dissed T.I., Yo Gotti and Young Jeezy; unreleased music from Wu-Tang Clan and Rakim surfaced and more!
Other notable drops came from the likes of B.o.B, 2 Chainz, Crooked I, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, Nacho Picasso, Prodigy, Alchemist, Calez, JMSN, Daft Punk, Pharrell and more. Hit the jump and catch up on last week’s dope’ness!
After French Montana shot his portion of the video at Rucker Park in NYC, MTV gives us a behind-the-scenes look at Rocky, Trinidad James and Q’s contribution. Including interviews from each artist.
Rocky, Ferg and Ty Beats link up for some A$AP Mob’ness. Unfortunately it’s tagged up by one Funkmaster Flex for his Who You Mad At? Me Or Yourself? mixtape.
Along with enlisting A$AP Rocky & Trinidad James for his remix to Work, A$AP Ferg has revealed another artists to appear (which he declined to mention in this interview): ScHoolboy Q. Up top is a behind-the-scenes of the video shoot at Rucker Park in Harlem. UPDATE: Although Wale is in the above clip, Miss Info is reporting that he will not be featured on the remix. So far the talk is that Rocky, Trinidad, Q, French Montana and one other artist will make up the official line-up. Only time will tell.
Nigel Sylvester & A$AP Ferg team up in this new video which showcases both of their talents. Featuring Nigel riding in California, Istanbul & New York to Ferg performing his hit single “Work” at Nigel’s S.O.M.P. (Standing On My Pedals) event in Long Beach, CA, these two NYC based talents are stars in BMX and music respectively, this only the beginning of more to come as they continue their ascent in their careers.
On top of dropping some visuals to “Show Out” with Big Sean and Young Jeezy, Juicy J also announced his upcoming Stay Trippy Tour with A$AP Ferg. Starting on April 21st in San Diego and ending in Los Angeles on June 8th. If you can’t make out the cities/dates on the flyer above, I’ve included a written out version after the jump.
