During the album release party for Raphael Dela Ghetto the other night, AlBe perform a cut dedicated to his mom (who was in attendance). Now — thanks to the internet — here goes a live recording of the audio.
And if you haven’t already, do yourself a favor and grab the album. Definitely something sitting in my “Best Of” list later this year.
Continuing his quest to provide 1 billion meals to children in need (by copping the Street King energy drink right here), Curtis has decided to step it up a notch this week. For the next day, every “Like” on Facebook will also equal a meal for a hungry child. And if the page reaches 1 million, Fif will double the donation.
Sadly, Charlie Sheen can get 1 million followers in a day on Twitter for his antics but those same people can’t click a “like” button to help kids in need? Right…
I first got introduced to Jeremy Fish‘s work when he teamed up with Aesop Rock for The Next Best Thing and instantly became a huge fan of his work. The year’s following that I’ve seen him lace Aesop with some incredible art for None Shall Pass, team up with him once again for the Ghosts of the Barbary Coast exhibit in San Francisco and much more. Now, the talented artist is opening the Rise of the Underground exhibition later this month at the Mark Moore Gallery in California. Hit the jump for more previews.
I told y’all about this a couple weeks back when Anybody Can Get It leaked. Now, Billy Danze and Lil Fame make it official with a November 22nd release date for their upcoming collorative album — entitled Sparta — with the Snowgoons. Get ready..
This is what y’all been waiting for right? Just as folks started (rightfully) doubting Jay Elect, he comes through in the latter half of the day with some new tunes. Enlisting the Infamous for some modern warfare. After listening, what do y’all think? Worth the wait?
With J. Cole releasing his debut album tomorrow, our family over at Complex has announced “Cole World” week. To start things off, they put up and online cover story (which was written by Cole’s college friend and roommate) that looks back at his early struggles. UPDATE: After the jump, check part two of his sit down with the homegirl Yaya Martinez.
With the latest single from his upcoming album RevolveR, T-Pain jacks Lily Allen’s 2009 single and acts like she’s a featured artist. And if that wasn’t enough he grabs Wiz Khalifa for a verse because he “wanted to get somebody unexpected”. Riight.
