Read aloud, “Blaqstarr featuring Common” sounds like a rap nerd’s wet dream. Talib Kweli, Mos Def and Com linking back up for an official follow-up to “Respiration?” Yes, please.
On paper though, we find out that Blaqstarr is actually a producer/artist/DJ based out of Baltimore. And with “Dear Diamon,” he grabs a quick verse from Com before crooning his way through the final three minutes.
The song itself will find it’s way onto Blaq’s upcoming Trinity EP, due out next month.
