With the recent news of OutKast set to perform at 40 festivals this year, including Coachella 2014, plus a rumor (from former manager Queen Latifah) of the two possibly reuniting for an album, MTV Rap Fix Live chopped it up with Wiz Khalifa about the ATLiens. Wiz, who is slated as one of the performers alongside OutKast at the MTV-sponsored Hangout Festival this May, said he’s never seen them perform live before.

I’ve never got a chance to see OutKast live, ever. It’s really good seeing them working together and providing this experience with fans and people who’ve been wanting to see them for years and years and years so, it was bound to happen.

He also shared his favorite memories of OutKast:

My favorite memories of OutKast definitely come from my mom because she played so much of their music and it wasn’t like they were old to me because OutKast was hella relevant, but it was like my mom loved OutKast as much as I did so it tripped my out because we could share that CD. We shared a lot of CDs, but that was one of her favorite ones and then when they started elevating their minds and doing other things, she was a part of that.
