Before Black Hippy hit the stage last night for Cali Christmas 2013, Power 106’s Rikki Martinez caught up with Kendrick back-stage.
Kendrick acknowledged he that texted J. Cole after hearing his response on the “TKO” remix and touched on his Grammy nominations for “Album of the Year” and “Best Rap Album”, stating:
“That’s crazy that’s even nominated [for Album of the Year]. That album is really raw; it’s not too much crossover. So for them to even put it in that light, that’s a win by itself. If I take it home, that’s even more of a crazy feeling.”
