When Drake released “Wu-Tang Forever” the Hip Hop world lashed out as the Toronto rapper seemingly turned one of the Wu’s most celebrated tracks “It’s Yourz” into a relationship ballad. Although the title is a little misleading, the song itself is rather dope IMO. And considering the Clan will be jumping on the official remix, I’m not the only one who thinks that.
Still, “Wu-Tang Forever” was an odd title choice. Looking to deliver a proper tribute to the Wu-Tang Clan, JD Era — who is signed to Raekwon’s Ice H20 Records — shares his rendition of the “40” produced track. Take a listen to the Dopehouse-premiered record below.
