My uncle Rick was a great man, and also was a Toronto OG DJ from the from the 60’s and 70’s. The song is a 5 minute musical journey that starts with an answering machine message Rick left for me a few years back that makes me laugh every time i hear it. the song moves into another instrumental/remix i crafted up from a 45′ i dug up, next it takes a step into my childhood with some audio of rick schooling me on some vinyl in my living room back in the day, followed by a verse i crafted together over a loop i took from a Jay Electronica track.
