I hope those rumors that VIBE will soon cease print publication (again) doesn’t come to light, because that would actually suck in my opinion. Anyways, Billboard’s No. 1 man and the funky soul songstress cover the publication’s annual Juice issue, which will also have features from Daft Punk and Pharrell, J. Cole and Nas, and more. A few choice quotes:

Daft Punk on Yeezus: Thomas Bangalter says, “We were the first people that Kanye came to. It was at the very beginning of the process, and he just wanted to make the record… We were happy to help figure out a direction he was looking for in terms of substance. He really responded positively to those ideas we were throwing out to him. And then he ran with it.”

Nas, on J. Cole’s “Work Out:” “There was a noise in the track I was a little annoyed with. I’m like, “Damn, what is this bullshit?” ’Cause my man can change this whole shit. The part that really fucked me up was the “Straight up, now tell me” part. [All laugh]” I wanted to throw something out the window.”

The issue goes on sale August 27th, with the cover stories hitting VIBE’s e-site this week.
