In the past year that I've been doing camera work for Jay-Z's Life+Times, one of the favorite figures I've had the pleasure of shooting was the incredibly talented Allen Stone. Spending the evening with him in Austin for SXSW, taking in his thoughts on humility, talent and overall love for music. And of course, watching him kill his late show was a major plus. A must-see for anyone that hasn't already.

Back in June, Allen gave an acoustic rendition of Seal's "Kiss From A Rose" at Andaz in West Hollywood for Grammy's ReImagined series. Click play above and vibe out to the sounds; which also includes performances of original tracks "Satisfaction" and "Contact High."

"I [first] heard ‘Kiss From A Rose’ when I was in seventh grade at a school dance. I remember it [being] that one time where I totally scored the cute girl to come and dance with me. I remember the chorus hitting and just feeling like ecstasy — you know how songs can do that to you. There’s kind of a soft spot in my heart for that song." - Allen Stone [Grammy.com]
