We've been hearing noise of Royce Da 5'9", Joe Budden, Crooked I and Joell Ortiz being in the studio, and today Shady Records makes it a fact. Releasing a new statement that the new age four horsemen are officially in the lab cooking up their next offering. And as an added bonus, Just Blaze has been called on to Executive Produce.

The Core Four are spending the month of June in a secret location in New York City cooking up something new with a team of producers including the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Araab Muzik and Just Blaze. Just Blaze is set to serve as the album’s Executive Producer.

Each member also offered their own thoughts; which I've included below.

Joe Budden: I’m really excited about doing things a different way this time around

Joell Ortiz: The creative being creative! Fun, fun fun!

Royce Da 5’9”: Everyone is in the perfect space, mentally. It feels great to be back in the studio with the guys and I think that I can speak for everyone when I say that we just wanna make an album that will stand the test of time and mean sum’n to Hip-Hop.

Crooked I: God of the Westcoast, I birthed these n!3@@& now I’m about to burry ‘em. Bloody Axe PigFace Slaughterhouse Mafia!

A bunch of borderline B/C list rappers who will never be as big as they think they should be. They should ghostwrite....they have bars, but their name & brand will forever be stale. Meathead music.

love the aggression from Crooked I. That's when he's at his best.

    Ugh more araabmuzik beats smh.
They need beats from Alchemist and StreetRunner again. At least JustBlaze is onboard.

JustBlaze is a perfect fir for the group, I bet you its gonna be a dope album!

  • TheJacka

1st album was dope but their last one was horrible. Hoping better production will at least produce a single and some better beats for them to spit on

  • thetruth

They really just need to give the fans what everyone wants. Beats from Alchemist (w/ hard drums), Premo, Just Blaze, StreetRunner AND NO SOFT ASS SINGING ON THE HOOKS! No one listens to Slaughterhouse for good songs, we want to hear bars!

okay i can get jiggy wit THIS shit. cant help but co-sign anything by just blaze. now if THIS aint bangin, niggaz need to hang it up and just ghostwrite for real.

I agree with the people here. Alchemist would be a great fit to go along with Just Blaze. Let Blaze and Arabmuzik handle the singlesque songs, and then let Alchemist and maybe Statik Selektah do the meat of the album. That would be a hot album. Won't happen though. They will throw Pharells whack ass on their before they get somebody who knows the beats that match their sound. They are street when they are at their best, not trying to be a Hova like brady bunch.

  • wase

  • Pauly D

Let's hope they limit the amount that Crooked and Joell spit on the record. Those two REALLY drag down the only GOOD artists in the group
