Big K.R.I.T.’s King Remembered In Time mixtape is one of his most personal efforts to date. We sat down and chopped it up with K.R.I.T. about the project and he reflected on the meaning behind every track. In part 1, K.R.I.T. talks about why he named the project King Remembered in Time (effectively after himself) and the process of recording the mixtape (he literally slept in the studio). He also talks about what he believes his Purpose is as an artist, as well as his reasons for making The Only One. Lastly, K.R.I.T. speaks on “The Banana Clip Theory,” his commentary on gun violence and the vicious cycle of destruction it engenders. This is Big K.R.I.T.’s definitive guide through King Remembered in Time.

Props to AFH.
