    That was...alright.

  • lol

this is really good. more reason as to why drizzy is king

  • That Real

I'm getting that nostalgic feeling hearing this record. One, because it reminds me of the first time I listened to "Say My Name" and two, because I'm remembering when Drake released MARVIN'S ROOM, DREAMS MONEY CAN BUY, CLUB PARADISE, & ROUND OF APPLAUSE before releasing Take Care.. And so far Drake is at it again, except he's 3/4 IMO since I didn't really like "Started from the Bottom." Anyway, this is a great song. Really anticipating this next album. Just tryna give credit where it's due before I check back in tomorrow and this shit has a thousand likes and a couple hundred dislikes with every 2dopeboyz hiphop purist who hates anybody that isn't Kendrick Lamar frequenter hates on Drake and this song

  • DRILL

this isnt on the album by the way. just b-side tracks

  • https://twitter.com/AmazinMusicNY Amazin

  • Slaughterhouse

    Heauxs love Beyoncé.

Unfortunately, I don't fuck with this song. But 'Nothing Was The Same' is still going to be fire.

  • Exhibit C

No hate on Drake as an artist overall but how the fuck do people listen to Marvin's Room and think it's dope. How can you be a man with dignity and pride and be vibing to "I'm just saying you could do better"? Player hater's anthem.

  • MusicHead

He's 4/4 actually .. Started From The Bottom is cold..fuck what u sayin.

  • whateveriguess

Idk how yall will judge a man based off his music. Thats gotta be the gayest shit ive ever read. like "Oh you listen to SLOW drake? You must be a bitch." Where the fuck is the common sense in that.

  • Wow smh

This is the most bias website ON THE FUCKING INTERNET smh This shit was mad fucking corny yo!

Gay guys and young females must be the one's hitting dope

  • J

  • softshit

  • MusicHead

Yea Marvin's Room is gay tho... til like his second verse ..I like that lol but I do hit skip for that song on TC

  • whateveriguess

Go back to listening to Ace hood and crying about how you baby momma gave you aids.

  • YMCMB

Compared to Wale's Bad and J. Cole's Power Trip all the music Drake has released has been weak. Those songs show creativity, Like someone stated in a different Drake Post,Drake is the Leader of the New School but people hold him to a lower standard than J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar. J. Cole do a little singing in his hooks sometimes but he still give you bars.

  • marty mcfly

This song right here aint my kinda thing but he just gave ya'll niggas bars like two weeks ago with 5am in Toronto and im sorry but the bars on Power Trip must be a joke or something.

  • DRILL

@YMCMB ??????? LMAOOOOOOO WHAT? HAHAHAHAHAH you cant be serious right now with that statement?

  • j

this is weak...started from bottom and 5 AM in toronto are way better

  • Chr

This record is catchy because they recycled a already catchy hook and beat, FOH. The world will loves this though, Drake gona sell millions sigh, can't deny that.

  • Chef

In his latest interview Drake said he's been feeling the new james blake. Can see the influence a bit in this track.

  • Dylweed9

Funny how no ones mentioned this features the singer from cocaine 80s. Just for that it's dope

  • fortiesandbluntskid

    @YMCMB
Yes. Cole does give us bars. Bars of fucking struggle.

  • Master Lee

This song is dope. Drake keeps killing it one song at a time. Of course niggas are going to hate. Who cares. Nothing Was The Same is going to be a classic. I cant wait.

  • marty mcfly

@Master Lee, I swear you say every album will be a classic. Just sayin

  • DRILL

@YMCMB COLE is wack, and boring. get over it

  • YMCMB

Damn @marty Mcfly always pop up when someone says something Positive about J.Cole. Power Trip is no where close to J. Cole best bars but he still have better bars than drake and Kendrick does too.

@Drill If I said it, I meant it! Does drake make some good music? yeah but yall hold Drake to a lower Standard when it comes to him rapping than Kendrick and Cole. I actually like 5am Toronto but if that was k. Lamar or J. Cole yall would of been like they could come harder that's average. Put Drake entire body of work against Kendrick's and Cole's and dissect the song and than let me know.

  • lol

@marty mcfly Take care is a classic. So Far Gone is a classic, Comeback season is a classic, Room for improvement is a classic

  • Jayden

@Drill Drake is repetitive as hell always making the same songs and lacking creativity. You just a simple ass nigga, so go fuck yourself J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Wale > Drake

  • DRILL

@YMCMB. so your saying that drake doesn't deserve it because its not fair to kendrick and cole? in a nut shell thats what your saying because your blaming it on "low standards". cole releases shitty songs and his production sucks, his bars are alright but people take his songs because their forced to, because He can't make anything better so we just take anything that cole puts out.

Kendrick is a different story. he's the actual person that deserves what is expected of him,not cole. with kendrick its just BARS. thats it. he can't sing, which limits his songwriting abilities. drake is a multidimensional artist, NOT a rapper. he can release songs without hesitation instead of banking on them and focuses on quality not quantity, like cole. kendrick has just started but drakes been at at it for almost 5 years and hasnt slowed down.his standards are held high with his releases so i dont understand how people hold him to "low standards". please define "low".

  • marty mcfly

@lol, Ill say So Far Gone was classic but I believe the element of surprised mixed with a artists that both singer and MC mixed with a ton of industry buzz is what all came together to make it classic. I wont say his other albums were classic though. Usually a artists 1st or 2nd project is classic material. After that its really hard for a artist to make a classic and it usually doesn't happen after the first two projects. The material could be great but usually the times have changed by then, the fans have changed and the artist themselves have changed by then to a degree. To have a classic imo its almost like you need the stars to line up for that so I think it goes beyond just having dope music.

  • marty mcfly

If he did make a classic though I wouldn't be mad at it. As for Cole? Ya'll dont wanna get more started on that guy. LOL

  • marty mcfly

this is why hes the best in the game rite now. that diversity>>>>

taken over 5 straight summers DAMNNNNN

cole, kendrick and all the other rappers that cater to the nerds can take the backseat for now

    NOTHING WAS THE SAME

  • marty mcfly

As for Drake being held to a "lower standard"? Ok well you pick the standard he should be held to and then check his stats and you'll see he probably passed those standards already. Just saying

  • Master Lee

Marty this one will be a classic though. lol Or at least a really dope album.

  • marty mcfly

Alright people theres a homotroll in the building now so i'll let him have his fun but the shit about high and low standards in comparison to Cole and Kendrick is a matter of opinion cause Drake met those standards already.

  • marty mcfly

    Homotroll at 2:23, ok later.

  • marty mcfly

the first 2:23 that is ok now later LOL.

  • lol

@Marty Mcfly hmm you could say the same thing for biggie, tupac, jayz, kanye, nas on their journeys of both surprised, mixed with artists MC abilities with industry buzz. in this occasion drake is special cause there are barley people that hold a mixtape thats both well knownn and sold alot be known as a classic. also its rare cause he can do both singing and Be an MC going from bad to Great from first album to the second album, and only getting better. so this is not usual but unusual in this new generation. drakes stars have lined up as much as they could in a time where STARS don't exit. i think we are passed the piont of dope music for drizzy

  • jp

@fortiesandbluntskid Damn J. Cole make the Struggle sound Beautiful. He talk about real life issues that most people can relate to and he gives people hope that they can make it through their situation. Most People get afford to pop bottles or make it rain. Hey but everyone is entitled to their opinion so more power to you.

  • marty mcfly

@lol, just the term "classic" in general is not really a usual thing. It happens very very very rarely, Its really like a 95% or better chance that it wont be classic and thats even if every single song is dope and thats just because classic just dont happen like that. Plus you said about 4 of his projects were classic already so I expect you to think his next shit will be classic with that kinda opinion.

  • 1hunnit

^ Sheesh someone is straight riding that Drake dick like there is no tomorrow. Be careful not break it off and throw it in the tall grass.

  • marty mcfly

You could make a flawless album with the most incredible beats and lyrics and still not come close to classic status. Again I hope Drake makes some shit that makes everybody happy and I look forward to classic material like the next hip hop fan does but its just fact that they dont happen that much.

  • marty mcfly

    homotroll at 235 disregard it

later everyone if anyone is under my name its a troll

  • YMCMB

@Drill I not going to go back and forth with you because it's not serious, I am not a stan, I'm Just a fan of music with substance and a message. I was stating my Opinion. I like Cole's music better. Drake content regressed to me. Let agree to disagree, You like who you like and I like who I like

  • That Real

No hate on Drake as an artist overall but how the fuck do people listen to Marvin’s Room and think it’s dope. How can you be a man with dignity and pride and be vibing to “I’m just saying you could do better”? Player hater’s anthem.
    Exhibit C

RESPONSE: Because people have different tastes in music. What moves you doesn't have to move me. There's nothing wrong about missing a woman who used to love you and who has somebody new in their life. I don't understand how that's a "player haters anthem" but alright.
    ___________________________________

Chr said this on April 16th, 2013 at 1:33 am

RESPONSE: So since this song is wack because he implemented "Say My Name" does that mean Kendrick Lamar's song "Blow My High" is also wack because he implements a catchy Pimp C hook? Does that mean that "Michael Jordan" is also wack because he implements a couple catchy Lil Wayne bars and uses them as his hook? No, it doesn't at all because ALL OF THOSE SONGS were great songs (at least to me) and all Kendrick and Drake (AND EVERY OTHER RAPPER FOR THAT MATTER) WERE TRYING TO DO WAS PAY HOMAGE. But I can tell you're just trying to find reasons to bash on this song which is cool.... i guess.

Jayden said this on April 16th, 2013 at 2:14 am

RESPONSE: So you're going to tell me that J. Cole isn't repetitive and that J. Cole is more creative than Drake? J. Cole recycled the same theme for TWO MIXTAPES & AN ALBUM (The Warm UP, FNL, Sideline Story) which was the whole basketball concept. Kendrick Lamar dedicated an entire mixtape to Lil Wayne (C4, the SAME Lil Wayne that can do NO RIGHT on this website, but ya'll seem to always leave that piece of work out for some reason) using ONLY Lil Wayne instrumentals with the exception of a few songs. I don't really have a case for Wale since he has a few mixtapes that I haven't got around to hearing yet.. My point isn't to bash any of these artists because I love all of them actually (Kendrick Lamr, Drake, J.Cole, Wale) IN THAT ORDER EXACTLY, but all I'm trying to do is use your argument against you. Drake raps about money, his friends, his family, girls, his hometown, and his personal issues because that's ALL HE KNOWS. What is he SUPPOSED to talk about? Seriously? lol
    ___________________________________________

in conclusion, I'm not a Drake stan or anything, he's not even one of my favorite rappers, but ya'll need to stop hating on shit for stupid reasons.

  • ear2ear

I'm interested to see how some of you will react to Andre 3000's ballad with Beyonce on The Great Gatsby soundtrack. As a huge 3000 fan, I know I will like it, but I'm interested to see how some of you guys will give Stacks credit for singing and being creative outside of hip-hop and will call Drake soft when he's trying to enter that lane. I'm not saying Drake is anywhere on 3000's level, but when guys we hold up, like Mos Def and 3000, sing, we eat it up and respect the music. So even though sometimes Drake misses badly for me, I still respect the creativity and vision.

  • YMCMB

When I say standards I'm not talkiing about sales, because sales don't really tell the story. Drake music content have regressed, he sounds repetitive. I am saying that fans are more concerned with the artist instead of the music. They are becoming stans where as they will accept any music the artist put out even if it's just average. for example Lil Wayne's Tha Carter 4 almost did a million in the first week after the album was leaked early, This was his worst album to me. The music is getting worst and generic because the fans are not holding artist to a higher standard. I haven't heard a drake songs in 2013 that would touch his so far gone or Come Back Season mixtape songs . That's why I said yall hold J. Cole and Wale mainly but to some extent Kendrick too to higher standards than drake because yall always comparing their music to their mixtapes.

  • RJ

@ear2ear I don't I have a problem with Drake singing because I think that's what he do best, that's who he is. I have a a problem when people don't call it for what it is

  • marty mcfly

@YMCMB, I dont even think you can hold Cole, Kendrick and Wale to a higher standard then Drake cause Drake is too far ahead of them. It would make more sense for people to hold Drake to a higher standard especially since he's in two lanes at once musically. On some lyrical shit I haven't heard a 5am In Toronto type of song from those other guys this year.

  • marty mcfly

Drake is at an elite level, a mixture of Nas and Jay imo. Drakes styles overall is superior to a Kendrick, Cole and Wale. Has the option to harmonize with out sounding horrible ala the other artist mentioned who need an rnb singer to do their hook. Tell me any kendrick, wale or coal song that is better then 5 am in dallas ?

  • Jayden

@Marty Mcfly 5am in Toronto is no where near lyrical but J. Cole dropped a truly your EP, Miss America reprised, Kendrick Bitch don't kill my vibe remix

    • Codandnike

Yoo Drake is revolutionizing the game with the type of music he makes but to the people saying wale and cole aint lyrically on his level... Thats just a dumbass statement cole tells in depth real life shit anyone going through some shit in they life can relate to foreal and wale can be a lyrical genious when he chooses to be, i just dont think they bottle it all up in a catchy versatile package the way drake does and yeah crunch time by j cole is way more relatable to 99% of people than i think anything drake really raps about.

  • Jarvo Tha Last Don

    1. All you niggas are gay.
    2. This shit is wack, How you come from Started from the bottom & 5am to this.
    3. Kendrick IS a better RAPPER than Drake by miles
    4. You niggas are gay as fuck.
    5. To the nigga who said almost Take Care a classic boy kill yoself b
    6. Marty go home you're drunk
    7. Last but not least Based God >

  • hfnf

Dude has an Aaliyah portrait in his back.... cmon guys stop defending what isn't, Drake is gay as fuck. and acts hood.

  • marty mcfly

@troll, I wouldn't say Drake is a mixture of Nas and Jay or his style is superior to whoever but if it makes you feel good to troll then go ahead and proceed but imo Drake is just where he is and the other people are where they are. Its all good and I dont make any excuses for anybody or whatever but if there are other rappers that feel they are better then Drake and deserve to be held in a higher standard then Drake then go for it. No need to debate me about it, just tell Cole, Kendrick, Wale or whatever rapper how you feel about it.

  • YMCMB

@marty mcfly "Drake is at an elite level, a mixture of Nas and Jay imo. Drakes styles overall is superior to a Kendrick, Cole and Wale. What do you guys think about what @marty mcfly statement?

  • marty mcfly

^^^ I didnt make that statement so no need to take it serious but personally I just dont think Cole, Kendrick and Wale are better then Drake. Is that a crime or something? It shouldn't be

I don't understand the Drake hate, I honestly believe it's solely because he's doing better than your favorite rapper.. @That Real, I'll pick up where you left off at Wale.. He's actually super duper nice, and is actually the best LYRICIST of the new generation above Kendrick, he tosses around concepts like it's nothing.. But the point is that Wale makes catchy, personal, relationship oriented music as well.. I've come to the conclusion that it's because Drake is better than their favorite rappers lol.. It hurts them within because the one that they've invested all their time and energy to isn't on top.. And Drizzy just happens to be on top lol.. Just like Hov.. He did nothing to receive hate, but yet he did.. What did Hov do to anyone ? What did Drake do to anyone ? If I can remember, everyone was bumping Comeback Season.. Everyone was loving Vol 2 and reasonable doubt.. But they were becoming too consistent, and ended up shitting on every other rapper in the process, so niggas get mad lol

  • KEYS

Why do people constantly thinks someones a hater if they do not like the artist music, damn that's their opinion. People are not going to like the same music, that's what the comment sections is for, to express your opinion.

  • JWIII

How does Drake make the same songs? He flips it up with Started From The Bottom and gets hate. Yet he's still making the same songs? Some of y'all idiots.

There is no lower bar for Drake compared to J. Cole or Wale. They all have different expectations and the other two failed to deliver on their fronts to their core fanbase while Drake has managed to run parallel to his fans. Get over yaselves.

And, note, I think Power Trip bangs & am an ardent fan of Ambition.

  • no new friends

marty mcfly is on drugs wtf are you saying contradicting urself everytime u post.

  • Rosebudd

I fuck with it. The nigga don't make songs for niggas that don't get pussy

  • kanye east

A DRAKE TRACK WITH A POSITIVE DOPE/NOPE RATIO? BABY, WHY THE SUDDEN CHANGE?

  • BUFF

Its funny how Blue Ivy looks like Drake and in this cover photo, Beyonce and Drake are engaged in a rather flirty eye contact and body language..I think Maury needs to come through ASAP!!

  • Willie Stark

Embrace the Hip-Hop musicians with talent. There's only few currently in the game. Like it or not this guy setting trends, has a great original production team and can not only rap but sing. Just give him his credit, stop the hate.

  • this is fucking horrible...

  • kidadonis

Does anyone see the irony of Drake doing "Say My Name" with Common's front man from Cocaine 80s James Fauntleroy?

  • adi Pre

Drizzy's been dope since the "Come Winter" track, whether he singing or rapping, not a lot of artists are touching his work ethic or material. The number of "Dope's" already speak for themselves.

  • Bawk

Did dude above really say Wale is the best LYRACIST of the new generation???

GET all kinds of THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Why are people even comparing J.Cole, Wale, Drake, & K.Dot at all? All they have in common is they all rappers (and Drake is a quasi rapper on the wackest label in the game). In the NFL, do we compare starting QBs & RBs with practice squad players?

  • http://therealbabyb.blogspot.com therealbabyb

Jay looking at Drizzy like, "Stay the fuck away from my girl Drake"

  • blessed

cmon, this is dope r&b, real niggas salute the destiny's child flip. cmon son, if u hatin u prolly softer than this song.

  • Corey

classic and Drake should NOT be used in the same sentence. Drake has dropped a lot of hot material and he's catchy, but classic is a stretch. you can't put a body of work that Drake has released against a 'Midnight Marauders' or a 'Blueprint' or an 'Illmatic'. this song used Beyonce's name and a hook from an extremely popular song and capitalized off of it..that's it. I'm not hating on Drake because he's def deserving of the title "king of the new school"; however, when the new school has rappers like J. Cole (average and a complete disappointment since he got signed to Roc Nation; all we get from him are poppy tracks with half ass bars) and Wale (overly passionate about his craft but continues to drop subpar material and seems to get himself confused with Maya Angelou with these terrible poems that he needs to stop saying) what does this really mean? this is just my two cent, hopefully i didn't offend anyone

  • LaRon

calling this "dope r&b" shouldn't be taken as a compliment at all @blessed. dude was rapping on this song..and idk what "real nigga" would salute a grown ass man for flipping a Destiny's Child song for his own gain. shit was garbage.

  • Yaki

Sounds like a bad freestyle. Sorry.

  • Why

YOU SAME MOTHERFUCKERS HAD NOTHING TO SAY WHEN 5 AM IN TORONTO CAME OUT. FUCK YOU OVO ALL DAY

  • Iodyne

Inb4 Realizing that he performed this song 2 years ago at the OVO Festival.

J COLE is NOT! better than DRAKE

    you niggas is just saaaaaalllllllty!

  • Rufus

Some of you chodes are writing essays like we're gonna read that shit. And this is definitely for the ladies, not hating but I'm never going to listen to it again.

  • dubz

    1. drake is not revolutionizing the game. if you think he is you probably are 18 years old with no outlook on life or the rap game for that matter.
    2. drake is not a lyrical artist, he is more of a flow artist.
    3. if you dont like an artist, that does not make you a hater.
    4. niggas listen to drake because bitches listen to drake. biggie said it best, make music for the bitches, and the niggas will come.
    5. im tired of hearing peeps call every album that drops a classic. stop bugging, just cuz you dig it dont make it a classic.

just my honest opinion. drake stans start calling me a __hater__ right......now!

  • dubz

people that track artist progressions and are saying blah blah is on top sound stooooooopid as fuck. just listen to the music and enjoy. only in the rap game does this sort of discussion ever come into play. its cuz rap niggas is insecure.
