  1. FUUUUUUUTURREEE….?!!?!!?!?!?!?!

  2. SERIOUSLY!?! Future in the top 10!?! MTV already lost. >_<

  3. ………. Jesus take the wheel.

  4. wow, i know the outcry of Future doesn’t need my co-sign……but it gets it, he’s one of those guys I just thought rappers got stuck making songs with because of Label politics. People actually think he’s nice? His songs are worse than Thugnificent’s attempt at autotune album from the 3rd Season of Boondocks

  5. A$AP Rocky number 1

  6. Fucking disgrace. Where’s K Sparks? Swerve & Syg? Maffew Ragazino? Action Bronson?

  7. @adiPre you actually think MTV even knows of their existence? MTV’s completely out of touch with the world of music as a whole. They just make the top 10 list based off label politics and who’s making shit that charts, not based off quality. I gave up on MTV long, long ago…

  8. Love him or hate him, Future is a respectable hooksmith in the game “right now”. His buzz and presence is crazy “right now”, which has led him to work with the best in the game…”right now”, and that’s no matter the genre(Hip-hop/R&B). No he doesn’t have the deep sophisticated lyrics like your favorite rapper’s rapper, but his penmanship has manifested hit after hit. It only speaks for what the mainstream audience is looking for now days. Dumb downed party tracks. If you look away from the autotune gimmick which taints his credibility, and focus on the impact he’s making maybe you’d find it acceptable for him to be on the countdown or atleast mentioned. The guy literally lives on the radio airwaves. Personally #9 is reaching a bit. I say move him to 10.

  9. i agree with adi Pre

  10. Go to Twitter and you’ll understand why Future’s on this. People LOVE Future, he’s been on a lot of hit songs in the last year, he’s been working with every artist out there and he’s put in work. Who would you suggest should take his place? Let’s assume Hov, Ye’, 2 Chainz, Ross, Wayne, Nicki & Drake are on the list (cause there’s a 90% chance that they will all be on there). I’m guessing Kendrick & Rocky is on the list.

I ACTUALLY AGREE WITH THIS LIST

  17. i hope you guys aren’t expected the “best” MC’s on here. if you are, you’re looking at the wrong list.

this is a list of the HOTTEST & BUZZING ARTISTS right now, as sway made it clear in the intro.

i don’t enjoy listening to meek or future but they do deserve to be on this list for their buzz. [ok, future can be cool sometimes but i seriously wonder if he doesn't understand pitch vocals]

  18. @gt I don’t fuck with most of those artists, but I gotta say your list is on point.

  19. French montana cant make a song by himself are fucking retarded ? CokeBoys 1,2,3 Mac and Cheese 1,2,3 and not to speak of coke wave 1,2 SMFH

  20. ^ tell em. and future should be higher. the nigga is everywhere.

  21. WTF! They choose those niggas over PUSHA??????? Get the fuck outta here smh

I know by this time next year Pusha better be in top 2! My Name Is My Name is gonna kill the game!

  22. theyre going by radio airplay, sales, buzz not artistic credibility so who else would be at those spots if your honestly judging by those criteria? I think thats about right

  23. i agree gt. thats exactly what 2012 sounded like.

i love how dude said meeks a actual mc you know with bars and lyrics. lol future is the next t-pain

  24. Future should definitely be higher. The nigga’s hooks are insane; shit, even his verses are catchy. Y’all niggas need to realize that it’s the HOTTEST in the game, not what lyrical rappers y’all wanna jerk off, cornballs.

  25. Haha. MTV does this every year and every year people react the same damn way. Like a test mouse that continually gets electrocuted going for the bait. You’re not going to see Jay Electronica or Joey Bad or Ab Soul or Action Bronson on this list unless they have mainstream/radio appeal. It’s like two different sports. They are not making a list of the hottest illegally downloaded artists in your iTunes.

  26. btw i funks with all those artists i named

  27. “K Sparks? Swerve & Syg? Maffew Ragazino? Action Bronson?”

nobody listening to those fuck niggas my nigga. dudes aint put shit out that got people jumping across the map

  28. Number 10 was Meek because he represents MMG (Def Jam, Warner and Atlantic records) and Future was 9 because he represents Epic (Sony records). We all know that its not about the lyrics but its not even about the hooks and clubs songs or who’s really hot either. Its about how much money is being pumped through these artists and generated by these artists after they have paid for multiple spins a week on Tv and Radio etc. Whatever they say about all the other artists that make this list, if you compare their statements with your own personal opinion alot of times it wont add up and if it does you probably have been brainwashed or programmed into liking these artists anyway because you’ve been fed their music commercially everyday for years now.

  29. FUTURE THAT NIGGA IN DA STREETS & IS A KING IN DA SOUTH SUCK A DICK IF U HATIN

  30. this nigga said it aint about the hooks and club songs, the fuck clubs you going to then.

  31. I remember the days when @the realest used to actually have valuable things to add to the discussion in here and would actually make good points. Now every time he comments its either to hate on marty or brag about all the clubs he goes to and how all the music he listens to is cooler than what everyone else is listening to. We get it my dude, you go to clubs, so does everyone else.

  32. This is HOTTEST MC not BEST MC…sigh noobz

  33. ^^^ good point

  34. @the realest, There’s obviously a larger point to the comment genius. Thats why they start out these videos talking about things like Lyrics, style, sales, impact, buzz etc… Even though club songs and hooks are a factor, they did not say this is a list of all the hottest clubs songs and hooks and those are the only deciding factors here. Smh

  35. If I say Dom Kennedy had the best club song last year and ANTHM, Mickey Factz, Clyde Carson etc also have a bunch of clubs songs that can compete, you know why that dont even matter? Its cause they dont have million dollar budgets to commercially program the masses every week with their songs in constant rotation.

  36. A better title is “Hottest Rappers in the Game”. We all know none of these cats are actual MCs. If you say they’re the same, get off this site fam

  37. pathetic list already ahhh smh

  38. the 4 artist on Fuckin’ Problem (A$AP, Kendrick, Drake, 2Chainz) will all be at the top, i could really see Macklemore being on the list, just off all the hype around the dude right now, however these fools might not even recognize him at all kanye, jay, weezy, and the normal picks are all up in the air as to their placement on the list

  39. what if this panel is measuring their appearance? who’s the HOTTEST MC? who has the best lips? best eyes? soft skin? best hair?

  40. @ exhibit. im just more short and straight to the point. and the majority of the posts i comment on is are the club bangers.

about the post, the shit is called the hottest mcs in the game. by almost clear definition to be hot is implying, MOSTLY, that you hot in the clubs/radio and etc. bottom line. i understand the lyrics and all that trust me, but like some else said that aint this race. there are other races for that. this the hottest niggaz in the game right now. and for them to kick french off the list is some straight bullshit. i bet if that nigga was good music or roc nation he’d be on there. nigga got classic mixtape after mixtape. ol boy that was ridin for him knew whats up. fat boy was hatin.

  41. They need to take Lyrics, Style and Impact outta the equation. First because lyrics aint even a factor anymore, in fact nowadays its like once in a blue moon when you hear a dope verse. They really knocked Pusha T off the list because he can actually put some decent bars together imo. Fools need to try and be even more wack to be “hot” now. 2nd, styles are very predictable, similar and cliche sounding (mostly 2Chain-ish now). 3rd, impact is now being judged after years of mainstream exposure and major label backing. If it takes two or three years in the commercial light just to build up to have a little impact then thats not really a strong impact imo.

  42. By MTV standards its no wonder why Def Jam thinks Trinidad James is the next hip hop great.

  43. SERIOUS QUESTION: How many of you Kendrick Lamar dickriders are gonna be pissed as fuck while ranting on 2DopeBoyz when you find out he’s NOT gonna be #1 on this list, if he’s even gonna be on this list at all?

2ND QUESTION: How many of you TDE dickriders seriously think Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, and Jay Rock should be on this list even though they made 0 noise outside of the blogs this year?

  44. is Future even really an MC??

  45. Top 3 will be Kendrick, 2 Chainz & Rocky
