The Art of War Theater: Branded to Kill

Although today’s feature is not a martial arts film per se, it’s definitely a great watch. Branded to Kill is a 1967 yakuza flick and is said to have been “…Cited as an influence by filmmakers such as Jim Jarmusch, John Woo, Chan-wook Park and Quentin Tarantino.” I copped this one on Blu-Ray awhile back on Criterion (which is one of my favorite companies when it comes to classic films) and the conversion to HD is damn amazing! Enjoy another Japanese classic.

  1. Copped this a couple weeks back when barnes and noble had buy 2 get 1 free on the Criterion collection and haven’t gotten around to watching it. will do now though.
