First DJ Premier, now Pete Rock? Someone is gunning for that "classic debut album" crown this year it seems.

Might as well make it some 100% hip hop shit but I just hope Joey keeps in mind that it's ok to step outside the box sometimes and yes that means even for a single. Some may get upset but no need to box yourself in musically cause that will just make it harder to expand in the future. Just my opinion but this is DOPE

  • marty mcfly

Ok to step out the box a little bit but still keep it hip hop. Im not saying to go make a Nicki Minaj type of crossover pop record but something that just keeps it interesting.

  • marty mcfly

Maybe something from Just Blaze before he goes completely EDM

I feel you on that one marty, he can rock over a Illmind, Harry Fraud or Cardo beat, I think that would fit him well. And ofcourse the rest of the producers you named, + Kev Brown, Oddisee, Erick Sermon, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Audible Doctor, KanKick, Unreleased J Dilla, Exile, Oh No, Madlib, Damu Tha Fudgemunk, Swiff D, Bink and King I Divine.

If he's gonna get beats from golden era producers I hope he gets a couple feature verses from some golden era MCs, someone needs to bring Slick Rick back into the spotlight
