Your 2Dope Opinion: Would You Want a 50 Cent/Eminem Joint Project?

After collaborating on his new S1-produced single “My Life” with Adam Levine, 50 Cent and Eminem joke around about the thought of doing a Watch the Throne-esque style project. And while it’s obvious that nothing is concrete, the two make it seem like there are already some initial steps taken. Either way, I’d like to get y’all thoughts. Hit the c-section and let us know what you think would come from a 50 Cent/Eminem album..

  1. Yes… 10 years ago.

  2. Em and 50 gon be a powerhouse if they worked on an LP. That said, I don’t see it coming as I think Em will focus on his new Shady 2.0 than 50. 50 is his own man and maybe he should consider working harder on his new album as the other two was “weak”. Nevertheless, can’t rule out anything and it will be better if Dre produces it.

  3. NEVER. lol Em started falling off lyrically just when 50 got signed…. Last good album was the MMLP in my opinion

  4. @ Dan V

I thought the same thing when I saw this post.

  5. I hope so and let dr. dre produce it

  6. Great!

  7. I dont know, I think if the have a common theme and purpose for the project then ok but if they just throw 16s together and package it up with no common ground or point of relation then it’ll sound funny. LOL 50 will be talking about how he’s gonna kill the next person he sees and Em will be screaming at the top of his lungs about how he thinks people hate him so he mite relapse and go crazy again.

  8. Nope. Rather hear an Em/Royce project that they actual take time to make unlike H:TS (H:TS wasn’t horrible, just rushed) but not for a while. I want Em focusing on his own stuff to see if he can get back to form…

  9. Them washed up mother fuckas. Em act like he still trying to prove to everyone he can rap and 50 stuck in 04 with his lyrics and topics.

  10. Nope, hell nope. Both of them cats washed up. Both them clowns need to fall back…

  11. Only if 50 got hit with a couple more shots providing energy for the album

  12. Word to the first post

The thing about WTT is Kanye is in his prime and Jay is consistent so they make a powerful duo.

50 and Em are both in points of their careers where they’re struggling to be relevant because they can’t switch up their style to fit current hip hop trends. What 50 and Em both need is to put their egos aside and let someone direct them creatively.

Anyways, I do want this project to happen but only for the 10% chance it won’t be garbage.

  13. Co-sign Dan V
Em hasn’t spit a good verse in years and 50 is too inconsistent now.

  14. fuck!! the first guy beat everyone to it.

no one wants to hear these washed up old ass rappers now.

yeah it would’ve been cool when 50 was hot for a year or 2. and before the REAL eminem retired.

  15. That would be dope for hip hop only the new generation of lil kids would say no who listen to rick ross lil wayne drake tyga big sean and them clowns

  16. If Eminen stops screaming about his dick and 50 start’s to rap harder again i would be interested in a collaboration album. But let’s be honest both fell off around 2006/2007.

  17. Would have been fine 15 years ago. Maybe if someone shot 50 and gave Eminem drugs.

  18. Look. 50 Cent hasn’t been good since he signed to Aftermath. Before he was shot, he was alright, maybe even decent. But let’s be honest here. Dude lacks creativity. Dude is HARDLY a lyricist. His flow is basic as fuck and not up to par with other cats. His subject matter ranges from fucking hoes to peddling dope to his money to killing people. So unique. GRODT wasn’t a classic. How can it be a classic when the songs are mediocre, when there isn’t a single CLASSIC song on there?

50 rode his wave. It’s like when people were lying that Lil Wayne was the GOAT (or at least, the best rapper alive). EVERYONE knew that that wasn’t the case, but no one said anything, until five years later when he really fell off. 50 had dope beats to rhyme over, that was it.

  19. Patiently Waiting was crazy. Love Me was crazy. Even Psycho was nice but not sure what we would be getting. If it sounds like My Life, then no thanks.

  20. @who cares – Em aint spit a hot verse since when??? How about on Forever when he trashed Weezy, Yeezy & Dreezy & proved once again that no matter how much the public be dick riding ur often mediocre music when it comes to straight barz hes in a whole other stratosphere. As for 50 ill give u that 1. He done fell off a lil bit more with each album after GRODT so i dread to think what his next ish will sound like. However if it sparked some competition between the 2 like “Bad Meets Evil” then it could wake 50 the uff up!

  21. @fortiesandbluntskid – Honestly though my nigga, how can you say that GRODT wasn’t a CERTIFIED classic ? This nigga 50 dropped “In da Club”, that alone makes him legendary. “What Up Gansta”, “Don’t Push Me”, “Many Men” ? Get the fuck out of here, in all seriousness.. He was one of the most prolific artists to ever emerge with that type of buzz, his hooks were amazing, his authenticity CERTAINLY contributed to the overall feel of his music, his marketing skills are blatantly apparent.. Get off 50 Cent nigga, he’s a fucking LEGEND.. CLICK MY NAME FOR MY LIVE FAST DIE YOUNG FREESTYLE

  22. I’d rather hear a Re-Up 2 album with Shady 2.0 (Slaughterhouse, Em, Yelawolf) and more involvement from the G-Unit camp (Banks, Yayo, Kidd Kidd Paris); almost like the Wu-Block joint. Some Dr. Dre production and Aftermath input (Kendrick) wouldn’t hurt either. I think that’ll be the way for 50 and Em to get their camp back in position.
