I don't think the young man was ready to be on Jimmy Fallon's show. If it weren't for the Roots band, the whole performance would have been a disaster. What a joke to attempt to give the impression that he's such a good boy because his mamma is making him finish high school when he goes by the name "Badass", and struts on the stage while standing behind Jimmy Fallon as Jimmy is closing his program. He's no bad ass to me, he's just another cocky punk, who needs to work on his vocals.

BlueMoon seems like quite the douche bag.

wow, as oppose to BlueMoon, I just saw this performance and I'm a new fan. This sounded so smooth when I heard it just like 2 minutes ago on the leftcoast. Haha, so smooth that I came on this website to see if they posted it so I could listen to it.

  • HATESHATERS

your both hater that just took time out your day to watch him, when was the last time you was on the Jimmy Fallon Show?. This kid that you call cocky used his pen to tour the world as well as get him on TV.. whats has your pen done for you...

  • Damn son

You can tell he isn't used to performing on a large scale, by the way he holds the mic.. It muffles his vocals, and a mix for tv is going to be perfect.. He can hold the mic normal. Just stuff to learn as he does it more. He's one of the most talented young kids. Cool to see him get his tv shine.

Honestly joey vocals are amazing and if you would actually listen he has amazing play on word and this is a 17 year old that is still unknow to mainstream hip hop give

  • Hulk

The vocals were muffled but great performance regardless. The Roots come with great covers as always.

Freddie Joachim deserves his props just as much for the production. Promote his new album that just dropped.

Ppl need to understand, every performance you do isn't going to be exactly perfect. This was his national tv debut. He's only 17 years old. Give him a break. I'm a fan but not a huge one. I think he did good. It did get awkward at the end when he was done but he probably just didn't know what to do so he dipped. There was nothing terrible about this performance. Period.
