Why oh why does hip-hop culture continue to make an ass out of itself at award shows? In a constant case of “one bad apple spoils the bunch,” it appears that a few rappers opt to pick the award show weekend to throw down and have detractors of our beloved culture come out and say “See, I told you those black folks are savages.” Mitt Romney is whispering to Paul Ryan “And they wonder why I don’t want their 47%” while Bill O’Reilly and his merry band of conservative misfits laugh at our constant shucking and jiving. It’s deplorable but it isn’t the first time we’ve showed our ass at shows meant to award people for their accomplishments. But I suppose where else will you combine all of these volatile individuals in one place? Ugh.
