The Album cover is Genius… If, the caliber of the music matches that genius. This could be a quintessential album from Wiz, Wiz has the potential, but the music needs to show that. Drop the pop and dance radio favored shit, and get to real dope organic hip-hop shit. The stuff that he’s done with Curren$y on Co-Pilot and Jets/Ferraris was hella dope. If he can present a soundscape that matches the artistry the cover does. I will buy it after I listen and it’s good. And this is coming from a person that hasn’t had Wiz on his radar for much of anything then the projects listed above and the Big Sean/Chris Brown joint, which I thought was pretty dope considering chris brown rapping. A cover like that can’t be looked or have a focus as only a commercial successful which the label will push. The album needs to be viewed as art by an artist and let it speak for itself. The other variable in this equation is how much music have we hear from this joint. Once we have the full product to have thoughts and opinions about go ahead, talk all the shit you want if you don’t like it, but let all the evidences be presented first. For his sake I hope that he comes out swinging, especially with a title like o.n.i.f.c. The music has got to match the title and art. We shall see.
Look at the track list, this album has HUGE potential and I dont see pop artist on it.
I think if I remember correct, Wiz himself though Rolling Papers was a disappointment, and it was. This is his shot at redemption, with a title and cover and tracklist like this…this might be it. Just saying.
