Being credited as a writer doesn’t always mean you wrote lyrics. A person who write the bass line for the bass guitar can be credited as a writer. A lot of composers get writer’s credits because, I mean, they did write a part in for the song. Also, if you contribute a melodic phrase to the hook, you’re also credited as a writer. Only in Hip-Hop do we associate writing with solely lyrics. It’s much more than that.

theres multiple songwriters in 95% of credits. the producer is almost always credited and features always are. somebody can suggest to change one word to a hook and they can get a credit if the artist wants to give em one. hes improved and i see no reason to think he isnt writing his own shit. real talk diggy is pretty good, youre unfamiliar with the art form/hating if you think he cant rhyme. i aint a fan or no shit like that but it is what it is
yea if you look at anyones album credits theres usually a lot of people for each song.. unless they make their own beats.. and even then theres usually a few. Does anyone really think its reasonable to believe somebody is paying another person to write lyrics to a little 2 minute freestyle? hell no
i dont think its fair to compare Kanye and Diggy on ghostwriters because all Diggy is known for is rapping, so what is he really doing if he’s not even writing his own lyrics? At least Kanye is putting work on the production side if he has a bunch of ghostwriters.

Diggy does not have a “Ghost writter” let me just clear that up real quick. It feels like the better he gets the more people hate. When you guys don’t like his songs you say “he’s wack” but when its actually REALLY REALLY good you say “he didn’t write this” why not just give him the credit he deserves? Smh!
