TDE Feature Contest (Finalists)

Back in May 2012, TDE released two original beats from in-house production team, digi+phonics. Artists were then given the chance to download the beat, record a verse/hook and submit for a chance to win a feature from Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q or Ab-Soul. After sifting through hundreds of submissions, they’ve narrowed it down to 5 finalists: Dom O Briggs, Dylan Golden, M.I., G-Two and F. Lawless (of The Foodchain).

Each of their submissions can be heard here. Voting ends July 30th, so if you’d like to cast yours… do so now.

  4. you know its gonna be a jay rock feature. those beats are pretty mediocre, if youre gonna do a contest do it right. dom o briggs bitin kendrick harder than em bit az on infinite. g two was teh best but hes imitating kendrick as well. these whipper snappers got no originality

  11. F. Lawless had a pretty good chorus but my votes on #2 Dylan Golden I think he captured the mood of the instrumental quite well but thats just what I think

  12. dang id hate to hear the ones they had to filter these guys through. nobody sounds good, at least not on these instrumentals. no diss to the production team but the TDE rappers do go over some weird beats. That just gives merit to how creative everybody is on that team
