We’re halfway through 2012 and have had a slew of albums and mixtapes to digest. Some have sucked, some have been solid but only a few have been worthy of being album/mixtape of the year. It only looks to get better from here as the 2nd half of 2012 features releases from Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Rick Ross, G.O.O.D. Music and more. But let’s focus on the projects that were released between January 1, 2012 and June 30th, 2012 and hand them our midseason awards.
