Jeff Chery – The Music

In the 1970s, Bob Marley summed up music by saying, “One good thing about music, when it hits, you feel no pain.” In 2000, dead prez said it again. Now, Jeff Chery revitalizes the concept with his latest release, simply titled “The Music”. The rapper verbalizes how he feels about music and the natural high it gives him. He also takes a moment to pay homage to the greats who have paved the way for him in the rap game, including Notorious B.I.G, 2Pac, Big L and more.

Forgot to mention Drake says it again in 2010.

  2. Respect to all these great legends who made it possible for urban music to have a REAL voice. Also shouts to Jared Evan who also sang that great Bob Marley line On his “One Good Thing” track.

  3. This is tight man, Jeff delivered! Great to see him back.

  4. @Hughes

And you forget that the way Drake used it was completely out of context to the original meaning, he raped that line with shit that lacked substance.

  5. Don’t care for that chorus but this guy “sounds” dope, which is enough to pique my interest. First time hearing him.

  6. Oh but no J Dilla? Cant be serious. Fuckin faggot for real.
