  1. Simple and to the point. Can’t wait to hear it

  2. Can’t wait!

  3. mmmmmm golden era feel in 2012 done right for once. nas lost his naked pictures of god, thats why he pays child support, alimony monthly now

  4. how he disappear and come back on top of the game…. dam NAS must have naked pictures of GOD or something …..

  5. I can’t listen to any more tracks, it’ll ruin the album for me. I’m glad to see people are enjoying the song, hope I will too when the album drops.

  6. musically it reminds me of the first 2 tracks on “illmatic”.

  7. Dope. Not Nas’ best effort lyrically, but the song is dope overall. Beat is nice as fuck.

  8. Incredible! This is how you drop a dope lead up track for the album. Every song released has been dooope. NaS = GOAT!

  9. Sounds like an illmatic leftover and thats the highest compliment I can give a Nas song.

  10. Good lord…

  11. I JUST DONT GET IT….nas comin back hardcore as fuck and doesnt use a single premo beat on this album …!?? wheres the logic

  12. no id came through with something fresh

  13. DAMN CANT STOP PLAYING THIS SHIT AND IM PROUD TO SAY IM A PERSON TRAPPED IN THE 90′S LOVE IT

  14. this shit is wack as hell sounds too much like the past, nas need to get with some new shit like don’t like beats, this shit is just dust. he needs to stop working with these old dudes and work with drake, and Kanye and tyga and chief keef. real shit

  15. with every popular artist using these pseudo trap beat no i.d prod. always sounds refreshing and nostalgic, particularly this beat

  16. Loving this. I’m buying it when it drops too. Operation Take-Rap-Back-From-Trap-Beats

  17. this shit is dope as fuck.. if you really think this is wack i feel sorry for you..

  18. god music is an idiot drake ,tyga get the fuck out of here this is real hiphop my niggaz enjoy while it last!

  19. now that was dope!

  20. No disrespect to Nas and No ID but this track is predictable. The beat sounds like a thousand others. When Illmatic dropped it was unlike anything else. This track just sounds like Nas is trying to emulate himself. It’s cool but that’s about it. This reminds me of classic jazz artists stopped innovating when they got older.

  21. Extra P should’ve had a full verse not no chorus ad-lib fuckery *sigh*

  22. real tempted to listen to this now but i’ll appreciate it a lot more when i listen to it when the album drops!

  23. Rick Ross, take notes.

  24. @TB, if the track is predictable then cool because Nas was one of the original MCs that pioneered this type of style in the first place. Nas cant pretend like he’s 20 years old in 2012 and come with some currently trendy sound just to please high school kids cause that wouldn’t be true to who he is. If he’s using a 90s sound then that makes since because Nas is from that era.

  25. This is not predictable at all. This is Nas channeling his best self.

  26. Sense

  27. haters u gotta suck this shit up cuz no way nas is killin it, if he was droppin somethin different then thiz fuckas wud say ive missed old nas and illmatic and so on

  28. @marty for the first time ever i can second ya! this is grown ass man music

  29. @marty mcfly

i never said nas should pretend he’s 20 and make trendy music. this track is dope but it’s not groundbreaking and doesn’t stand out. you make it sound like nas has only 2 options: make trendy pop music or use recycled sounding beats. stillmatic is a great album because it combines classic nas lyricism with (at the time) modern production. again, no disrespect to nas or no id but this track didn’t blow my mind. not even close.

  30. @TB, I dont think Nas is trying to express some grand idea for this song. I think this is the opening song on the album so his intent was probably just to put people back in that NY state of mind because its fitting for the overall sound of the album.

  31. This is the shit Ive been waiting on!!! Nas is the ONLY nigga still left doing that raw shit…..IM copping on 17th July for real tho!!

  32. for the people that don’t understand this track he said it plain & simple for the TRAPPED IN THE 90s NIGGAS!

this shit bangs regardless who its for!

  33. Nas the tru King of NY… fuck hov

  34. Co–Sign @ Jayp & Marty McFly!….I NEED THIS TYPE OF SHIT IN THA GAME RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!………….

  35. Big up Nas for getting back to that real rap he’s used to spittin. And I’m still “trapped in the 90′s” & IDGAF!

  36. IMO, every track released so far has been pretty damn solid. Hopefully the rest of the album is as consistent, cause this album looks like it might be an AOTY contender.

  37. Another Dope Track. Cant wait to hear the album in its entirity. Good look Nas. Keep doing Big Things.

  38. this nigga is the greatest to ever do it

  39. straight from the dungeon of rap

  40. Too dope! Can’t wait for the album.

  41. Two words: Golden Era.

  42. I can’t listen to anything else, I need to chill and wait for that Itunes deluxe with the all the extra joints. Then I’ll patiently wait for a copy on wax…so much fucking dope…

  43. Don;t get me wrong, this track is straight ill shit. But it sounds like a copy of NY State of Mind. The piano is so similar. Even Nas’ flow is reminiscent. But I’m still blasting this on full.

  44. How does this have any dislikes? Dafuq?!?

  45. Nas is a genius

At seventeen I made seventeen thousand livin’ in public housin’
    Integrity in tact, reppin’ hard
They askin’ how he disappear and reappear back on top
Sayin’, “Nas must have naked pictures of God or somethin’”
To keep winnin’ is my way like Francis
As long as I’m breathin’, I’ll take chances
A soldier comin’ home, twenty years old with no legs
Sayin’ there’s no sense to cry and complain, just go ‘head
So much to write and say, yo I don’t know where to start
So I’ll begin with the basics and flow from the heart
I know you think my life is good cause my diamond piece
But my life been good since I started finding peace
I shouldn’t even be smilin’, I should be angry and depressed
I been rich longer than I been broke, I confess
I started out broke, got rich, lost paper then made it back
Like Trump bein’ up down up, play with cash

  46. HIP HOP IS ALIVE

  47. fuckin’ amazing. That’s wazup!

  48. Hahaha! Some bum really wrote this..?? :

“this shit is wack as hell sounds too much like the past, nas need to get with some new shit like don’t like beats, this shit is just dust. he needs to stop working with these old dudes and work with drake, and Kanye and tyga and chief keef. real shit”

    Yeah…they’re real…shit

  49. This is the kinda shit that makes me fall in love with hip hop again. I listen to more than hip hop so there are times when I’m caught up in other music & don’t even pay attention to rap at all. But Nas is one of those artists that is better than the genre itself & reminds me why I’ll always love Hip Hop, the classic hip hop sound at least.

  50. yessir. this joint is thumpin!

  51. Been listening to this track for 2 days now :D Can’t wait! (JUL 17)

  52. sorry but this nigga bores the shit outta me. and don’t throw that “you don’t understand him” shit on me. i hear him, he’s just boring af!

  53. No disrespect to Nas and No ID but this track is predictable. The beat sounds like a thousand others.

^ name one beat this sounds like. everyone on here saying this song sounds like something on illmatic can’t name one illmatic song this song sounds like. y’all must have broken ears. this is a good track. i like how no i.d. added the train sounds in and lol @ loco-motive as the title (crazy method/train). yeah, nas and no i.d. came with a crazy method for this one. all the critics in here probably had a train run on them by their uncles. lol.

  54. Y’all niggas never happy…if he does something like this y’all all say it too redundant or ,predicatable, if he did something different or newer yah would bitch about how Nas has sold out.

You know why rappers don’t give a fuck about a critic is because of this bullshit. I love this song but I also would like something with drake or a newer type shit.

  55. I don’t really have a problem with the soundscape and Nas has always given us that real shit but y’all niggas are tripping, the contemporary shit will be on the album.. Nas’ is just as descriptive as ever and this concept was crazy.. Nigga never wastes a bar, EVER..

  56. Wow no one can say he isnt on his shit. If No I.D. has better prod. than this on the album then I’m sold on No Premo. Life Is Good will be FAR from a Nastradamas.
