  1. I think people expect to much from these guys

Swizz Beatz is terrible i dont think i have ever liked a song he has produced or screamed on

  2. A little bit better in CDQ, but still pretty much trash.

  3. Worst SH song…

  4. so that awkward ass, off-beat break during joeys verse was meant to be there….

  5. this singles cover art is worse than the album art which i didnt think was possible…

  6. Yeah basically this is shit. All round.

  7. LOL @ “A little bit better in CDQ, but still pretty much trash.” as if the quality of the track would make it sound any doper

  8. What happened to the Hot 97 Freestyle by Slaughterhouse posted last nite June 28th 2012?

Why did 2DopeBoyz take it down?

  9. Love Slaughterhouse but the song is a fuckin disgrace…beat is terrible…lyrically blows….all 2gether a horrible song….the album gets pushed back over 2 months n this is the single they release….wtf are they thinkin….better step it up or this able is gonna be garbage

  10. @khal I guess you like listening to your shit with Funkmaster Flex tags every 3 seconds. you fucking moron.

  11. This will be fire in the club tho. If y’all ever got off your computers lol

  12. i actually don’t mind this song but i wish slaughterhouse would get with some other producers. harry fraud, 9th wonder, dre, hit boy etc

  13. Who told these 30+ year old mainstream wannabes it would be a good idea to go with a frat dude image, considering their name is SLAUGHTERHOUSE? First the album cover, now a Swizz Beat single with bra & panties hanging off the title. These guys are confused as fuck.

  14. @Fuck hip hop fans

You might want to get off your own computer, kid. This is NEVER going to played in ANY club ANYWHERE. Seriously, have you ever even been to a nightclub?

  15. @nucleus
    good point

  16. it isn’t THAT bad, but I will probably never listen to it again.

  17. I’m probably the biggest SlaughterHouse fan ever since I’ve been following hear guys individually since they began rapping… But I must say I’m highly dissapointed with this track, I would e thought with them being signed to Eminem that they would have more pull and creativity over the songs that they make, even the album singles. Smh. “The One” was a better single than this was and that was probably my least favorite track on the first album. Where’s the Dre production for the first single?? If this track is the type of singles they had to pull from, Em coulda gave Dre or somebody like Boi 1da a call for a massive radio single. Smh, this is not the SlaughterHouse that I was looking for.

  18. This song is wack as shxt smfh; watch Flex drop bombs on that

I feel this song’s gonna sound dope as fxck on the album though cuz that beat’s mad playful and odd

Swizz gave em a wack beat LMAO!

  19. Throw it away? Ok, right to the recycle bin…. wtf is this crap?

  20. Just like Detox, the music will NEVER live up to fans expectations no matter what they put out.

  21. they should have taken their own advice, throw it away

  22. @Fuck you

Hahahaha, I know right? That dude actually thinks SLAUGHTERHOUSE is going to get played in a night club. laugh. my. fucking. ass. off.

    @MidWestFlyest

Not true. You seriously don’t see a huge difference in the type of music all of these guys make as individuals and this shit? Seems like they’re completely changing up their style for this album. Stop assuming that hip-hop fans are just being unreasonably hard to please. Even Slaughterhouse stans have been coming on here talking about how shitty the 1st 3 singles are.

  23. Eminem does his Shady Records business just like Jay-Z did Roc-a-Fella. Each one created one superstar (50 Cent; Kanye West) and that’s it. Everyone else in their rosters has never got any spotlight.

  24. @mobster 1. swizz beats didnt produce this hes just on the song Mr.porter produced this 2.you must not like alot of DMX / ruff ryder songs if you never like swizz beats

  25. ALL OTHER SLAUGHTERHOUSE> Hammer dance > My life > THIS

  26. @/// I never said I don’t see a difference in this shit and the old shit. Im just saying that no matter what, if it is a preemo beat or swizz beat, fans are gonna hate becuz they didn’t have an eargasm in the first 4 bars. SH represents not only the underdog, but also real lyricism, in the radio ringtone hell we live in today. Real heads like myself feel like we have a lot invested in this group since lots of real lyricists never see mainstream success. And Stans, Fans whatever the fuck you wanna call it, want people to hear these guys becuz they want people to know what REAL rap iz. Im not saying r even acting like rap fans are impossible to please, but anytime those type of purist feelings are involved expectations are thru the roof and egos are gonna get hurt. And if u act like the delay on Detox isnt hurting itz chances of a commercial success, you’re kidding yourself. I just wish people like Em realized that any1 who gets on sites like this one can teach any1 how to download music for free and based of that he shouldn’t worry about commercial success. Stop compromising their art and just stick to what they do. Itz what the fans want anywayz.

  27. crook still killed it, royce and joell have seriously fell off lately, havnt heard a good verse out of either of em for over a year

  28. still ass

  29. If it werent for swizz and those horrible verses (royce is one of my favorites and that verse was horrible. Same wit joell, and crook with that wack ass dick van dyke line..budden did ok i guess) then it would be a pretty good single for the radio.

  30. This song isn’t for “us”. Its for females and dudes who like to move their body. They emphasized this in their lyrics.

They kept a vintage NY/East sound. They must have a song that will energize people @ concerts. I’ve never owned an album that I liked EVERY song. Even albums like Illmatic with songs like(1 Time for your Mind & Halftime). Life After Death (Nasty, Another). Sometimes songs are made for a certain audience in mind. I don’t question their motives as long as it doesn’t stray too far from what 1 would come to expect.

I’m disappointed in the reaction. This song doesn’t deserve this negativity.

Nope, it’s not my kinda jam either. I’m a head nod/walkmen type of Hip Hopper but, you can’t just nod your head @ a LIVE show to enjoy it.

They can’t completely go the route of the last album. They sold 18,000 1st week. I even bought a copy for myself and a B-day gift for a friend.

For whatever reason, catering to “us” don’t pay the bills. I guess because we’d much rather download & never buy retail or online. This opportunity gave them an outlet to get mainstream accessibility & still have those hardcore records that we enjoy and know their MORE than capable of creating.

These men are grown & if this was the mid to late 90′s they’d probably had their chance but, fortunately they get their 2nd wind so they can finally “win” and taste the mainstream success that has eluded them as solo artists.

It’s only so long you can cater to introverted dudes. Hope this gives a different, positive perspective to the reality when inhabit.

  31. I meant, reality we inhabit. Don’t want the Miss Peas proof readers to get me!!

Oh, and I would be right there with “all ya’ll” giving my negative feedback if they did some Down South type of pandering.

  32. what happened to these dudes making more of “personal” type songs on this album opposed to shit that sounds like this and that queer song with that fat fuck cee-lo?

  33. @ Untitled…umm you don’t like Halftime?! #FOH

  34. for all you haters look what crook said, even before this song dropped:“Crooked I: The most frustrating thing, bro, to be honest with you, is that some people, not the fans, but some people show resistance when Slaughterhouse doesn’t do 80 bars, seven-minute songs. We all have individual lives. We all want to create music that reflects our lives. We can’t just go in and do 60 bars apiece every time. You can’t do that on every song. With certain people, if you give them a song that reflects how we feel in life or whatever, just some regular shit, they’ll say, “Nah, this ain’t Slaughterhouse! I want to hear you slay sucka emcees in a battle rap.” No, dog. We are artists. We make music for people to relate to. That’s the most frustrating thing, when people try to put Slaughterhouse in a box. “This is the only thing we want to hear from you guys. If you don’t do that, fuck you.” That’s basically how some shit is. They really feel like that. Why come I can’t express how I feel? I go to strip clubs. I can’t make a song like [Tyga's] “Rack City?” I’m in strip clubs all the time. I’m a fuckin’ strip club aficionado. I’ve been in clubs all over the world, not just in America, and they know who I am when I walk in. I have fun. I can’t make a song about that? That’s part of my life. I thought I was rapping about my life but “Nah, we don’t want to hear that from Slaughterhouse. We want that lyrical, miracle.” That’s the most frustrating part.”

  35. at least eminem is signing lyrical rappers making an effort to market them to a wider audience. it sorta disgusts me that you have the nerve to turn your back on him for trying during a time when super lyrical rappers arent getting as much shine as they used to. shame on yall..

but for any stan to say any o these guys are top 5 doa has always tickled. they can’t even construct a hit letalone a classic album. smarten the fuck up.

  36. This song is definitely not my style, but I respect Slaughterhouse for doing something different from the last album. Wish that said, there is nothing very appealing about this song.

If you’re going to cover a topic that’s been done countless times already, you need to bring something original into the mix. I get that they don’t want to do 60 bars each, but if you’re only going to do a standard 16 makes the lines dope. By mainstream standards this isn’t a bad song (It obviously doesn’t fit many fans tastes), but if they want respect as one of the best hip-hop groups, they need to do better than ‘not bad’.

If you step outside of the imaginary box your shit has to be on point because you’re going to catch people off guard, and they’re going to critique you more than if you give them what’s expected. At the end of the day though it’s just one song, I’ll still keep an open mind going into their album.

  37. lol at yall mothafuckas writing essays

  38. I heard they’ve recorded over 50 tracks or something, and they are picking the best ones….well….newsflash….that’s not a good way to sequence and piece together a thorough record. The more work you out in first up, the less later on. Get your lyrics STRAIGHT for a club song, street record, life record, party record. PUT YOUR ALL INTO IT, and then find the right concept and beat, not the other way round. You don’t attack every track just because you’re on a major label and shit. Fuck that!

  39. This track is legit, don’t know what everyones talking about, obviously not as lyrical as there first album but still bumpin as shit, as for all the swizz beatz dissin, yea dude is mad corny but hes a pioneer used to produce the best beats, and his voice actually makes a lot of tracks, like start it up by loyd banks he straight up made that song

  40. fuck this, my life is personal to slaughterhouse not you . you need to get your head at of the box . also cee-lo is no fat fuck, hater .cee-lo is legend of hip hop with the legendary goodie mob . cee-lo is artist & you are too closeminded & new school to understand, loser
most of you fans & stans crying & compling are not real fans of slaughterhouse & never listen to solo work . because song sounds like something off a joe budden album, haters. the real slaughterhouse fans are not goingto hate this like the fake ones of here

  41. hey dick heads SWIZZ did not produce this beat if you read it clearly says “produced by MR PORTER” smh and i actually dont have a problem with the song its not the best but its ok as far as the single artwork they do looked confused as fuck not a good look fellas

  42. i’m speechless at this garbage. SH dont miss your moment….

  43. This song is actually noise there bars arnt even right or on time

  44. ok their single for slaughterhouse lp was the one and that song was trash… but the rest of the album is classic so you negative people need to relax… singles are always not as good as the rest of the album… is this an ufo sample

  45. I just listened to this song and I feel like ‘I don’t know what just happened.’

  46. I’m happy for Slaughterhouse and this huge opportunity they have. I just think this song is whack.

Definitely looking forward to the rest of the album though… I’m not one to judge an entire CD off 1 song.

Not hatin either… I just personally don’t like the song.

Congrats to SH… but I’m never listening to this song again.

  47. @Untitled

One Time 4 Your Mind and Halftime are straight classics you fucking moron.

  48. @zachariah

you sound like you know so much about making music. where;s your album? idiot.

  49. Relax ya’ll. Their just trying to promote the album with commercial music. The album will be lyrical. I promise.

  50. I love Slaughterhouse, but this song sucks. I hate the beat and I hate Swiss on the hook. The verses are cool but nowhere good enough to make this song better than it is.

I’ve been highly anticipating their next album, but with this and My Life, I’m afraid that the album might be crap (although I do like Hammer Dance).
