  1. the tracklist is looking pretty damn fucking good

  2. NO ID FTW

  3. Still no Premo huh?… Im starting to lose hope for that reunion..

  4. No fucin az? Wtffff

  5. LOCO
    MOTIVE

  6. AZ??????

  7. not really surprised about the lack of an AZ feature. that nigga hasn’t been on point for years.

  8. Wish there were more rapper features as opposed to singers…it is a studio album, and we are in 2012, so I guess that is to be expected. Still excited for this project

  9. really feelin where this project is goin, cant wait

  10. Really excited. Buying his album. A little disappointed that AZ and Dj Premier are missing

  11. >No Black Girl Lost pt 2

1st wise decision since his divorce.

  12. actually anyone else kinda surprised there’s no jay elect feature? sure he’s the most inconsistent rapper ever but after the way nas championed him and queens get the money i would’ve expected him to be on here in some way shape or form.

i get the feeling this album is gonna surprise a lot of people though, it’s been a minute since nas has been passionate about anything.

  13. Was relieved when I saw this. Only features I really could do without is Officer Ricky, Swizz, and Miguel. Only features I’m excited for is Anthony Hamilton & Large Professor. *shrugs* Not gonna get all hype over a tracklist though. I just hope he doesn’t disappoint with the content

  14. Is that Kelis’ old wedding dress he’s holding? Still think dude is being taken to the cleaners by that greedy bitch! Her music is garbage & doesn’t sell so she hits him up for alimony & mucho child support!!! SMDH!!!

  15. Its a shame there’s no AZ

  16. nobody wanna hear large pro on the mic, just behind the boards. looks disappointing but ill withhold judgement till i hear it. nas still top 5 doa

  17. looks good to me. I gotta have the deluxe edition so I can have Nasty and the track with the Cocaine 80s.

  18. So much No I.D., <3

  19. Can’t wait. I honestly didn’t become a true Nas fan until a couple years ago. I always knew he was nice but I was just more of a Jay fan tho. Illmatic is my fav Nas album but this should be up there too.

  20. finally dion paid his homage to esco da god what he coulda done 15 years ago

  21. This album isn’t for children,or people looking for something he has already made; for that go to itunes… its contemporary adult hip hop like Phonte solo album. Its his dedication to Marvin Gaye’s Here My Dear album. Its deals in relationships growth and change. Not for everyone. When you reach legend status you make what you want not what your fans want from you

  22. yeah, finna be classic. nas + no i.d. = classic. thats my logic.

you can tell by the producers and singers that this a gonna be his most musically influenced album yet. and i thought distant relatives and the N were already great pieces of work.

  23. co-sign jimdeuces22

  24. mmmmmmmm the swizz beatz track is the one that might fuck up the flow of the album

  25. not really looking forward to this anymore

  26. Co sign @los

I just don’t think he should rap. Its never good, and it sounds forced. He’s alright on hooks, which I don’t think he’d be doing on “Summer on Smash,” since Miguel is on the song. Whatevs tho

  27. The deluxe edition should have removed the Swizz Beatz track. No thank you. Seeing the Justice League, Buckwild & so much No ID on there gives me hope but fuck there’s too much Salaam Remi here.

I’m not really looking forward to this album and I’m the guy who bought Nastradamus day one. IMO Nas doesn’t have a classic that doesn’t have an AZ track so we’ll see.

  28. I saw Premo a few weeks ago. He did confirm a full album with NAS. It will be NAS next album. I am so excited for this. Biggest NAS fan. Check my mix CDS No IDeas Original and Surviving the Times Mix Cds by myself Teddy King . Peace.

  29. @CHRIS BUTTA

NIGGA PREMO & NAS WORKING ON A WHOLE ALBUM TOGETHER JUST BECAUSE HE’S NOT ON THIS ONE DON’T MEAN THEIR ALBUM WON’T COME INTO FRUITION BESIDES PREMO ALREADY SAID ITS A GO IN A FEW RADIO INTERVIEWS

  30. The album is fine. Its a Nas album, I would hope for mostly Nas and singers doing hooks or whatever. If I want to here an artist, I look for their album, not a feature…

  31. This is shaping up to be a great record indeed.

  32. nas still picks the wackest fuckin beats…no ALC or primo this shit is gonna be a disappointment like all his other recent albums besides gods son…and maybe stillmatic.

  33. excited for the record with 40…and wait what happened to the odd future features?

  34. Wish there was an AZ feature

  35. Fuck yeah! Can’t wait I’m surprised with the features, so it’s all good.

  36. Looks good! I was surprised at the feature choices, but as expected – Nas always does what none of us anticipate. Looking forward to this.

  37. i think nas is waiting for his def jam situation to be done with on this album. then with a new label situation he can start with a whole different direction on the next album with az and dj premier.

  38. @MPL612 What the fuck are you basing this on?

and at the idiot that said nas cant make a classic without an az feature. how the fuck does one feature make or break an album. i swear the people on this site are fucking retards.

  39. I feel having AZ on there now would not fit plus Ross would be better for radio play and DJ Premier’s sound recently has been a hit or miss…this is perfect. We getting a classic

  40. JimDeuces22 jesus fucking christ please do us all a favor and shut up. dickriding faggot. stop acting like you heard the album and shit. nas has been no different to all the other rappers for the most part. he was bragging on nasty and material things, and talking that gangster shit on his track with ross 3 months ago. Stop acting like nas is “above” it all you self righteous douche. nas raps about the same shit as ross drake wayne and every other rapper. get the fuck over yourself.

  41. if this tracklist was posted as a young money or ross album imagine how many thumbs down it would have and what these nas dickriders would be saying about it. smh

  42. 9th WONDER?????????

  43. Anyone else think a Kendrick verse on Accident Murderers wouldve been dope? I loved Ross verse but I think Kendrick wouldve been better because he probably wouldve had a creative way to rap on the topic of the song unlike rozay and I feel like he wouldve been ill over that beat with a creative flow.

  44. All looks well. Been waitin for this more than any Nas album since It Was Written, Large pro produced by NO ID? Makes me wonder what he did because I’ll put a stack up that he doesn’t have a verse. Narrative? Chorus? A voice sample? We’ll see. Either way, album looks slammin!

  45. nas + no i.d. = classic. PERIOD.

  46. Im skeptical until I hear the entire thing. Nas has a penchant to dissapoint. He’s obviously one of the top 5 rappers ever, however his beat selection is in the top 5 worst ever! Thats Y he always sounds epic on other ppls songs, but he b dropping boring albums.
I mean ‘Triple Beam Dreams’ is a track worthy of a classic album & what he did on ‘Kings & Queens’ (Tyga) and ‘The CaterIV Outro’ are just immaculate, he sounded like the greatest rapper ever. Nas IMO is the best rapper ever, but Jay has smashed him just based on beat selection and working with ‘it’ premier producers ‘stead of the same old rehashed, over-used, tired combo! I need a Nas album with zero Salaam Remi production on there … PLEEEEEEEEEASE! But what we gon get? Nothin but the same retarded boring ass Salaam Remi beats and mediocre hooks smh What a waste! Still top5 & one of my top 3 fave rappers (Common, Nas, K.Dot) today. Cheers!

  47. thought frank ocean was supposed to feature… :( thats a shame!

  48. Nas did exactly what he said he was going to. He got Salaam Remi and No I.D. doing the production cause they was 2 dudes from the 90s who made it through now that are still relevant. Premier is still relevant but his sound hasnt really progressed. Now before people start hating Im not dissing Premo. He’s a legend, Im just stating the obvious. Look Im not a huge Rick Ross fan cause his content lacks but in regards to rapping that boy got bars for days. And its good there is limited features. We need more actual solo efforts and less features. Thats shits getting to be too much with all these people selling records cause of features. Anyway. Its officially Return of the Golden Child.

  49. I agree w/ a lot of ya’ll. I’m glad to see Extra P there, but I’m not gonna act like I wouldn’t want to see Rae or AZ on board. It looks good on paper but we all know we’ll never get that ultimate Nas-album. Dudes a genius never less, poor beat selection or not. Thank God there’s no Prodigy feature though. HNIC 3 will be horrible. One question though: where the fuck is Q-Tip?

  50. the swizzy track has miguel on teh hook..miguel is crazy with the hooks..club banger..feel good music..nas needs one of those

  51. So glad to see so much No I.D ! Very happy to see only two rap features but I’m dissapointed that “The Don” is still here because that beat is horrible.. This looks like it could contain Nas’ most mature music since “Streets Disciple” ! Before the C-Section explodes, I said most mature.. WHY DID PEOPLE SLEEP ON THAT ALBUM !? And whoever said Kelis sucks is fucking retarded.. Her first two albums were completely produced by The Neptunes so she automatically broke ground with progressive R&B.. Fucking lame..

  52. that’s what I’m talking about.. Putting in old music, hit music/songs in into the Bonus Version!!!! yEa. And not add another track number in to the album.. Yea NaS

  53. Damn, NO ALCHEMIST?! Maybe their schedules conflicted. Alc has been grinding this pass year!

  54. Like the look of the track list but I cannot fathom why Nas didn’t include AZ on the joint. It would be hugely symbolic to have had him on Life is Good and their chemistry is almost unparalleled. AZ is so vastly superior to Rick Ross, if anything AZ would have murdered Accident Murderers!

  55. Ok Ok Ok….Ok Ok Ok….Ok Ok Ok….Dip Dip Set Set. Bang Bang Byrd Gang, Ya Smell Me? Cuz Yo I be a Harlem Kat, Who Does a Bit of Dis and A Bit of Dat. Is that that DuDe Nas? The Same Cat Who TrIeD To BatTLe JAyZ? aND HE lEFT sKRILLA oN hIS MoMaZ BaBySeat? Dis that cat who drops a hot album 1 outta ten?

Cuz Yo, Yall KnoW y? cUz yO…yAll kkNoE wHy? ??(DJ Key it up and break it down), know why? Cuz, I gotz MYSELF A GUN!@ UH-oH! i gOtZ mUsElf a GuN, Uh-Oh…SoOpAOoGLy..

    Look Here,

  56. @ Da_Father

Ultimately for any album it’s sillly to have the Bonus Tracks since 9/10 you’re going to only come across the album in the store with them on it.

In other words, it shouldn’t matter whether it’s listed as a bonus track or has a number in front of it. It’s still on the album.

  57. This shit is dope. Beats are banging again. I’ll only be skipping 2 tracks on this shit.

  58. Music is about growth you can’t do the same type of music every album the thing I like about nas is that he always has a different approach it may not be comericailly suscessful as most other artist but that’s the difference between a rapper and a hip hop artist I think this one will do as well as hip hop is dead certified gold
