Jay-Z has revealed the line-up to the Budweiser “Made in America” music festival taking place September 1st and 2nd at Fairmount Park in Philadelphia and legendary rock band Pearl Jam will headline the big event with Hov.

Also confirmed: D’Angelo, Skrillex, Rick Ross, Passion Pit, Santigold, Janelle Monáe, Dirty Projectors, Calvin Harris, our best friends, Afrojack, Wale, Meek Mill, X, Prince Royce, Rita Ora, Savoy (DJ set), and The Knocks. 1. alcohol kills people. it is the root poison of society, and you are promoting yourself and its product to young generations who need righteous mentors and entertainers to look up to.

  2. ^this guy

  3. @knowledgeis cigarettes, guns, and people kill people. does that mean we should stop promoting people too?

  4. knowledgeis’ comment HAHAHA! join a church this HIPHOP!

  5. Jay and his festival, and Nas and his…on the same two days…hmmm.

  6. Love d’angelo

  7. selling out to white america is *not* hip hop.

  8. ^ I am pretty sure alcohol exists in Black america as well as the rest of the world throughout hundreds of years.

I am also pretty sure that heart disease and obesity caused by the whopper is much more of a threat to the younger generation than beer.

but I am pretty sure that you can promote alcohol and be righteous. 99% of the people in the world we consider righteous drink and promote alcohol. Example; Jesus Christ, he turned water into wine and wanted to drink his blood aka wine.

  9. our best friendss= ODD FUTURE

  10. @knowledgels and anybody else who’s mad. Budweiser has been involved with hip hop performances for the last ten plus years HELLO. Why are you jumping up now when this kind of thing has been going on for a decade? This is not the first time a beer company has had a festival with a rapper on it. Smh

  11. It’s hilarious how Shake called Tyler a talentless clown when Bastard was released, now he’s part of a festival led by Hova. Just so funny.

  12. It’s also hilarious that Shake would co-sign an overpriced Rock the Bells show with 60% of the lineup unconfirmed in select markets, which basically means anyone on this list is suspect to no show on your day. Supporting that shitshow over this diverse but good crowd is so suspect.

  13. just bought my rock the bells ticket today (mainly for deltron 3030)

  14. how can anyone disagree with the factual statement “alcohol kills people”. it does. full stop. it causes liver damage, deaths from drunk driving, etc. it’s not like beer is a f–king health food drink. if jay was the master marketer he always claims to be, he could have found a business partner that made a less lethal product. of course, since jay sold crack to his own mother, i never expect much in the way of visionary moves for societal benefit from that guy.

  15. idk rock the bells or made in america shit iWas comin from sc to do either or

  16. So what are you saying? That you can do better? If you were performing a show would you demand that people not drink alcohol? Jayz is a rapper he is not responsible for the outcome of alcohol in america especially when it was around before Jayz was even born. He does hundreds of deals a year with various different companies and it is not his job to worry about how YOU feel about drinking.

  17. Quit talking about the health and social effects of alcohol, and do more reading. The problem with society boils down to education and improper distribution of wealth. Fear and Greed.

Education makes us smart enough to discern what’s important and what isn’t, which alleviates Fear, Ignorance, and Materialism.

Fair distribution of wealth ensures that EVERYONE benefits from the success and evolution of man, and prevents those with too much power from using their Fear to flex their Greed.

Recent studies show that people who drink alcohol live longer due to lowered stress, EVEN alcoholics have a slight improvement in longevity. Look it up.

  18. this isnt hip hop sorry
this is a shitty lineup built around trying to push a shitty product on a new generation …
